Simon Thorn and the Wolf's Den

Great book choice for fans of Magisterium, Spirit Animals, Wing & Claw, and similar fantasy series. The pace of 12 year old Simon Thorn's story was fast throughout the book as Simon discovers that he and his family are able to change into animal forms and are part of a secret world made up of five Animalgam kingdoms. As each of the five fight for supremacy among themselves, Simon creates friendships with Winter, Jam and Ariana who all belong to different kingdoms. Readers will enjoy the battle scenes, the unique and well-developed characters and will sometimes be caught off-guard by plot twists. Book 2 should be held at the ready for when the first is finished! Excellent choice for fantasy readers of all ages, but with a solid fifth grade reading level, younger or less capable readers will need a partner.

I bought this for my 10 year old because the author was coming to the school and was signing autographs. He really liked the book. Of course, then he wanted the whole series. ;)

I bought this book in hardback even though we already own the paperback. My son and I both love this series. Fun and adventurous. I hope the publisher will release the last two books in English!

I bought this book for my son hoping to get him hooked on reading since he loves animals. It worked. He couldn't put it down and I couldn't order the next books in the series fast enough. He highly recommended it and said he loved all the plot twists (His words were: "It keeps surprising you...")

Great animaI shifter book series. I like introduction of secret shifter animal community in modern, and lore(history of culture) and introduction of their current issue.

I really like Simon. I will be reading the next book. I like how he is all about his family and friends whether it be mammal or reptilian.

I would recommend this book to my students who are really into animals and fantasy. They would really enjoy this type of book.

It was hard to put down. I recommend it to everyone. No matter what your age you will like it.
