Beautiful patterns, very time consuming.
The patterns in this book are beautiful, but you've got to be patient as these things take quite a while to complete. I am only midway through my first project (the one that's on the cover). The cross stitch pattern they provide for it is a little off. The pattern counts several more lines than you've actually done so you're going to have to adjust your cross stitch pattern to work within fewer rows than it's written for. I checked and rechecked and it's definitely shorter than the cross stitch pattern requires. I checked the number of rows the crochet pattern calls for and I've done it correctly, so you'll have to do a bit of adjusting on at least one of the patterns.

Beautiful Afghans
Absolutely beautiful afghans with easy instructions. Wonderful pattern book. I have already finished the "Dutch Rose" afghan in about a month and have started the cover afghan. There is a disconnect between the butterfly cross stitch pattern and the number of rows the pattern calls for, so it is advisable to look over the instructions well before starting, but I did not find any misprints in the Dutch Rose. I still believe this is one of the best collections of patterns I've seen. I had not crocheted in 15 or more years but the Dutch Rose afghan came out beautiful.

Pretty, but...
This book has pretty patterns, but some of the directions are not clear and hard to follow. It is like they left a sentence or two out or perhaps a heading.

My first Tunisian project
I currently working on my first Tunisian afghan. I first saw a Tunisian blanket made by my husband's grandmother. When I saw this book, I had to have it! The patterns are doable for a beginner like me. Looking forward to finishing my afghan!

I have just learned the Tunisian stitch and need much more practice, but it fast and just wonderful. I haven't followed her patterns so I didn't mark excellent. Some people have patterns hard to follow. more sometime in the future.

Four Stars
Not sure what I think. I have not made it yet. Looks very challenging.

This appears to be a good choice for a beginner.
The cross stitch designs and stitches in this book are not complicated. This is okay for a beginner but if you're experienced and interested in a challenge you need to look elsewhere.

The pattern results are gorgeous.
I just wish there was more diversification in each pattern. I like the combination of crochet and cross stitch. It keeps your interest.

Arrived on time, nice stuff in there, easy to follow instructions. Only prob is sourcing right weight wool in UK. Cygnet chunky was closest match I could find

Tunisian Crochet
I have never attempted Tunisian Crochet, I liked the Afghan on the cover enough to buy the book. Now, I have a problem. I can't decide which of the six patterns to try first. Beware, if you are a UK crocheter, the stitches are American. It is easy to convert.

Stunning selection.
What a fabulous little book! I have recently become addicted to making blankets and afghans and the problem is now going to be which one of these beautiful designs to make first.
