OdloMen's Whistler Eco Baselayer L/S Half Zip

I hadn’t heard of Odlo before; the brand was founded in Norway in 1946 and is currently based in Switzerland. The clothing is incredibly comfortable and well-made. I’ve worn the Whistler Eco Baselayer nearly every day, I put it on every time it’s clean.This is a fitted baselayer. It fits close to the body and runs a tad small. I checked Odlo’s size chart, and the medium should have a chest measurement of 37.8 - 39 inches. I measured my medium and the chest measurement is 36 inches. When the shirt is zipped up all the way, it’s tight on my neck, and I’m pretty skinny. Not a built dude.The half zip has a zipper stop, which I like to keep the zipper pull from poking into my neck.I have the Black color in the shirt, which is really a black and grey print. It’s almost like camo, but classier. The print gives me snowy mountain vibes. I don’t love the black patches at the elbows and lower back. I don’t know if they serve a purpose for maybe skiing or another winter sport, but for me, they take away from the print and luxe look of the shirt.The baselayer is warm, and even snuggly -- the inside feels like soft fleece. Very nice against the body. It wicks away sweat and keeps me warm and dry. It’s made from 88% polyester and 12% elastane. I’ve washed it a dozen times on gentle cycle, cold water, and line dried it. The baselayer still looks brand new, no fading or pilling.

This is a really nice shirt from a brand that was new to me but that I will definitely be revisiting. It's super soft, snug without being tight and is well made. There is a fair amount of stitching because of some of the detailing, which I was afraid would be irritating but I don't even notice it. The quarter zip and high neck are both really nice features that give great flexibility in scenarios where you're moving from sun to shade or varying effort levels. Highly recommended.
