Our kids and a bright future
This is a sweet and hopeful book that’s just right for kids. It shows children of all skin colors and clothing styles, some in warm homes and some in shelters; but their faces are all the same; innocent and beautiful. It shows the moon who watches over us all when we sleep because that’s when we dream of being safe and living in a world free of hurt, and when kids dream of all the things they want to grow up to be in the future. This is a picture book of warm and colorful pictures and optimism.

Firmly Rooted in Justice and Love
Instant bedtime classic. The audio edition is read by his young daughter, Imani Kendi, and the fierce belief in her voice was the most inspiring, heartwarming thing I’ve heard this year.Buy this book, read this book, listen to this book, read it to your children, read it to your grandchildren, read it to your nieces and nephews, gift it to your friends, request it at your local library. It is rooted firmly in Justice and Love.

A must for all kids.
Wow, this book is hard hitting. But in a good gentle way. This young Alpha generation is going to change the world if this book is a indicator of how we are raising then.

An important message of fairness and acceptance for all
I like the way all different types of families are represented. Author very careful about choice of words. Illustrations are beautiful. My plan is to send this book to my grands and ask them (6&10) to study it. If it is acceptable to them, I want them to donate it to the school library. We gotta open up our minds and hearts to the love than can surround us and rid ourselves of the rage and hate that is epidemic in our world. This book may just help us.
