Black OpalSoft Velvet Deluxe Finishing Powder Deep

I love this product!!! This product is now a staple in my make-up routine. The color is beautiful and it holds up well after a long work day and commute. I have oily acne-prone skin and have struggled with finding a powder that doesn't make my face look like an oil slick halfway through the day. As a middle school teacher with a long commute my days are very long to say the least. It's a great feeling knowing that I have one less thing to worry about. This powder is not irritating and the perfect shade for my chocolate brown skin. I will definitely be re-purchasing :)

I'm starting to dabble in makeup and was told I need a finishing powder. A finishing powder helps to set your liquid foundation so that it doesn't take off running on you throughout the day. A video on Youtube advised me of this product and the shade so I took a chance. When I tell you EXCELLENT I mean excellent. I use this product all over except for where I applied Ben Nye setting powder and my makeup last for at least 8-10 hours. Ladies of color, Black Opal nailed it. Try it.

This powder is incredibly red. I bought it to use as an all over face powder but it's too red so now I use it to bronze my face. I've had to buy another powder that's a bit lighter to supplement it which is kind of annoying but yeah

I'm a fan of Black Opal products and wish the full range was more available in stores. I know it's not Black-owned, but they are looking out for different deep and dark complexions. The deep shade does run fairly red so if you've got more golden or even cool undertones this might not work well for you. Also, keep in mind that there is some shimmer to this powder. I do wish it were more fine, but for the price the quality of the actual product is wonderful. One jar lasts me a 8-12 months. My main gripe is packaging is annoying for me. The twist on and off lid can get stuck easily. I use a large-handled powder brush to apply it and 1 outta 3 times will end up with some powder waste or small spill when I try to close the top back up.Great for setting my makeup. I have dry skin around my mouth, balanced skin at my chin and oily skin through my forehead and cheeks. It doesn't dry out my chin and mouth area. It keeps shine at bay for about 3 hours without reapplication for me. I usually just blot shine rather than reapply. The color transfers very very easily (I will try with higher end fixing spray in the future) so watch out for white tops, friends' sweatshirts, couch pillows, etc.

Love love loveee this. I'm a member of "Makeup For Black Women" on Facebook & this was recommended by another member for ppl who have oily skin. So happy this was suggested because it def did the trick to keep my oily skin at bay - all day. I'll be buying this foreverrrrr! Also for makeup newbies to prevent it from being SUPER messy - only take off half the sticker and shake a lil of the powder at a time into the top - to prevent contaminating ALL your powder with germs from your brush/skin!

Extremely Red. Don't waste your money! I only bought it because of the positive reviews. Clearly something is wrong there. For the price I would have expected better. could have done better with a Dollar star product.

I stopped using black opal makes my skin look oily I'll rather use black radiance powder

Love black opal finishing powder. Great product. I use it once all my make up is applied to keep everything in place. Beautiful product I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and its long lasting. I usually don't have to apply the product again all day but if I do its usually around 2 or 3 pm and by then the product has been on for about 6 or 7 hours.
