McWilliams BAGPIPE, PROFESSIONAL SCOTTISH HIGHLAND BAGPIPE FNS MOUNTS ROYAL STEWART TARTAN AND BAG

Came without instructions. Got on youtube to learn how to assemble. Got it assembled and it is impossibky hard to produce sounds. The blow pipe slips in teeth, pipes are clunky and don't come with cord to hold in place. This is not for a beginner. Parts left over and I jave no idea where they go. No video shows them. Wasted money.

I bought these beautiful bagpipes with intent to learn how to play them but literally cannot get them to make a sound. Can I get an instructional video?

Nice set but doesn't come with assembly instructions and very fragile. The chanter broke when I was lowering it. No pressure at all. Had to order a replacement. Don't buy rosewood. It's like pressed wood if you are serious about learning how to play . Still a nice beginner set.

Unusable. More like a toy for show rather than real bagpipes. I returned them. Moral of the story: If you want to acquire a decent set of pipes, better pay up and get good ones.

The media could not be loaded.  These bagpipes really are nice and are definitely playable. This video shows the location of where you're supposed to put the reeds in one of the tenor drones. All three drones have a Reed AT THE BOTTOM. Looked all over YouTube for that answer. Lots of air and imo both sets of reeds ( synthetic and cane) work well.Unfortunately no chanter with this one and have to order elsewhere. Working on learning how to hold off he bagpipes and so far have gotten all the drones to work at the same time.Quicktip : test the reeds before you put em in by blowing into them like a kazoo. Make sure that you can blow a fair amount of air thru the reeds as alot of air pressure will actually shut off the air flow thru the reeds.We're fairly prompt to reply and we're helpful so I'd trust McWilliams company. And no I'm not sponsered and paid for the bagpipes myself.I believe that most bagpipes bad reviews are due to people not knowing where to pick the reeds. The video shows where to put chanter Reed and one of the drone reeds. The other two drones also have a Reed put in near the bag also.NOTE : THE DRONES COME APART IN DIFFERENT PIECES. Only place the drone at the bottom joint near the bag.

This was a birthday gift I was very excited to get. It was short lived. The bag leaked at the bottom seam right out of the box. The reeds both real and synthetic were of poor quality and about half didn't work at all. The company sent a whole new set and I was able to get a complete set of working reeds but that bag leaked as well. They sent me a different type of bag which was much larger and I had to cut the pipe stocks out of the old bags and place them myself. I eventually got a functioning set of bag pipes out if the deal but with much headache and aggravation.

Got this a few days ago, I was supper excited for it to come in. When I got it there were no instruction on how to put it together. When I finally figured out how to but it together, the air that I blew into it just came out of the pipes and out of the blow pipe. So for anyone that wants a bagpipe take my advice and do some research and find a good quality bagpipe, yes it may be very costly but in the end it will be worth it. I got super frustrated with the one I got off of here.

Some drone reeds close with minimal air pressure and the things sounds like a dying cow although it will provide some noise to learn the chanter,it is just not the quality "professional" bagpipe sound.couldn't get the cane reeds to work.Looks good just doesnt play as good
