Second WaterRower, first CITYROW WaterRower - I love it!
I bought a used WaterRower years ago and let it gather dust for several years until the pandemic led me to look for online workouts I could complete with my home equipment. Happily, I found CITYROW and started using my rower several times a week for the first time since I bought it. After a year and a half as a CITYROW user, I finally decided to upgrade to their version of the WaterRower.CITYROW vs Peloton / Freeletics: Pre-pandemic, my exercise consisted mostly of Peloton rides (at my office gym) and Freeletics (app-guided HIIT) workouts. I loved the Peloton for its engaging instructors and good cardio workouts. I endured Freeletics, because I felt like I was getting a great workout that helped me tone/build muscle. When I tried CITYROW GO, I finally found one exercise program that gave me everything I wanted - tough, instructor-led workouts with cardio and strength building. Their signature classes, which have you on and off the rower, combining rowing with exercises on the mat, are for me a perfect blend. They also have endurance classes, cardio and core (like signature with a core focus), stength classes, rowing HIIT classes, and even yoga. Like Peloton, classes are available live or on-demand, and the instructors are great at delivering challenging workouts that motivate you to push yourself. Unlike Peloton, it delivers a full body workout that an "intervals and arms" ride just can't match.CITYROW (single-track) vs WaterRower Club (dual track): When I bought my first used WaterRower, I thought that dual-track models seemed more stable and that the wooden tracks were better looking than the metal single-track. After getting a chance to attend an in-person CITYROW class (with the incredible Shaun Patrick Tubbs on a trip to NYC), I realized that the CITYROW rowers had some distinct advantages. The footboard on a dual-track rower, goes between the two tracks, so the user's feet must be close together. With a single-track, though, the track goes between the users feet, allowing for a more natural hip-width distance. In addition, the CITYROW GO comes with a monitor that provides real-time feedback, including split time. (Because the S4 monitor on the WaterRower Club calculates split time over a longer range, it takes ~30 seconds to provide an accurate split time and doesn't let the user observe more short-term variations in performance.) And, since the CITYROW GO monitor has built-in bluetooth, I've just got one rechargeable battery that I can see the status of on my monitor, as opposed to the separate S4 bluetooth module, which periodically died mid-workout because it doesn't have a low-battery indicator. One downside of the single-track is that it significantly louder than the dual-track as the seat moves back and forth across the rail.NOTE: When the assembly instructions tell you not to tighten the screws - listen! I left a little wiggle room in each screw, but when I got to one of the final footboard screws, it just wouldn't go. I had to go back and loosen everything (including some of the pre-assembled screws), and even then I had to turn a lot harder than I should have. Not sure if mine had a minor alignment issue, or if I did something wrong, but it's been working great once I got it all together.I am so glad I found CITYROW GO and their instructors who could finally motivate me to make use of my rower and ever happier that I've improved my CITYROW experience by purchasing a CITYROW machine.

Full body workout
This machine hands down is the best fitness machine I’ve ever owned! The saying is that you get what you pay for and with this machine that’s the truth. I am a big runner but went through a slump when I got bad runners knee. After bumming around for awhile I came across this machine and it’s been great. The fact that I can get an incredible 30min workout from my garage is the best part. Rain or shine I can get a great workout so there is no excuse. If you’re looking to get into shape or stay in shape. I highly recommend this machine!
