With an easy to understand format
I bought 3 Senior housing sales and marketing books from Amazon and this one TAKES THE CAKE! Diane freely shares the "secret sauce" with you to increase the occupancy at your community. With an easy to understand format, she gives step by step plans and real life experience to eliminate any ambiguity of what is being taught. What I really loved about the book was that she is not a "used car salesman" just trying to close the deal no matter what. She meets the "future residents' needs by showing them how much better life will be for them. My Pastor always says, "to be a sucess in life, find a real need and meet it!" I am just beginning my career in Senior housing marketing and the content and instruction in this book has created a high sense of confidence in me! I have not landed "the job" yet, but I am sure fired up and ready to go! When I do land my job, I will feel sorry for the competition! ;o) If your career is already in a senior housing community in any capacity of leadership, this is a MUSTREAD! If you are preparing for a future position in a Senior Housing community, this is the best book to read to get yourself ready for the interview process! Thank you Diane for sharing your passion!

Basic Information
I would probably have had a better opinion of this book had I not first read the book by Phyllis Thornton and Christine Wirthwein. I do not relate well to cartoons and cutesy descriptions of people like Pushy Paul, Social Sally and Blabby Barbara. I did expect some of this due to the cartoon cover, but it was really over the top. The other thing that I noted immediately was that the book lacks an important element any nonfiction instructional book should have -- an index. With Ms. Masson's business background, I expected something more button-down in approach. That said, there is still valuable information in the book and the cost is considerably less than the one by Ms. Thornton and Ms. Wirthwein. I do believe it would be helpful for anyone seeking good basic information...if you can get past the cutesy approach.

worth getting
I purchased this book to help me prep for an interview for a senior living sales position....great purchase. It is a bit basic as far as "common sense" on some chapters but the author does a great job at inspiring a sales person and helping someone see new ways to improve. There is some great sales advise and marketing ideas in this book as well. I got the job and I honestly credit this book for some of my success durring the interview... I'm glad cause it was not cheep!

Fantastic Book!
I purchased Diane Masson's book several weeks ago and have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Some of the ideas she writes about were things that were already being done in my community; many of more were things I would like to institute. But what I truly enjoyed was the sense of positivity and the impact of that positive attitude on a marketing and sales department. I think every CCRC Marketing professional should give copies to employees.

A must read for anyone with Occupancy Goals in Senior Living!
From a regular reader of your blog (and even put my 2 cents in a couple of times) I just received your book and you really hit the main reasons why some communities just aren’t filling up as fast as others – in good plain English!

Senior Housing Marketing: How to Increase Your Occupancy and Stay Full
I have purchased Diane's book and find it very useful. The helpful hits have made a huge impact on my ability to sell. When things start to get slow, I pick up the book and do some reading to put me in that inspired mood! Thanks Diane.

Very informative
As a third party company that markets assisted living communities I found this very beneficial and would recommend to anyone who works in the industry. Gives instructions for tour guides, advertising and events, and concrete examples on what does and does not work.
