Shattered Rainbows (Fallen Angels Book 5)

Enjoyed some of it
I liked bits of this book, but not all of it. Truthfully, I'd have happily done without most of the first half. Although I understand establishing their shared past, I was bored silly by most of the passages about the war and I have to admit I skipped bits.Once we got to the second half, the story got much more interesting and I enjoyed the latter part of the book.

Another hit..
This was a solid enjoyable book. First off, it was very long - epic in length, but it kept me reading right up to the last page so no complaints. The first section in Belgium was full of detail about Waterloo and the Napoleonic wars - you really felt immersed in it. The emotions between the two leads rang-true and you could feel their longing. I really liked the hero - he was such a benign presence and a total mensch. The heroine was likeable too - and it was nice that she was a wife and mother - that was a nice change of pace.
