Beautiful book/Hermoso Libro
Beautiful book that shines light on Mexican immigrants that came to work on the Texan fields. It's a collection of short stories told from the perspective of a child. The themes involved in this book are mainly discrimination towards immigrants in a predominantly white society and inquiries into the Mexican-American identity.

It reads somewhat like prose poetry
It reads somewhat like prose poetry; conceptually based on the cyclical events of migrants' calendar year. You will laugh, cry and be inspired by the beauty and honesty of the story's prose. Rivera conveys hope, innocence and determined spirit in the story's perspective. MUST READ.

Good condition?
Very good condition I thought it would look more used, but the pages seem new and there are no bends or folds.
