Good alternative
After trying a very expensive mug with a battery to keep coffee at temperature and having that device fail within one year, this non-electronic mug is perfect, simple, and effective. No plugs, cords, or phone apps.. just pre-heat it with hot tap water (or boiled water from a tea kettle) and the coffee stays hot for hours

It doesn't fit in the cup holder for my car but wasn't a deal breaker since the liquid is sealed pretty good.Used mostly for coffee, keeps it warm, can roll around in a backpack or car seat without leaking.Sturdy, lid stays on well- only in use for a couple of weeks but so far; 5 stars

I liked everything about it at first. My one problem is after 2 weeks I could not taste the coffee I was putting in it every morning. The metallic taste got progressively worse till it was overwhelming. I had to return it.
