I loved the antique look of the set, it’s very good quality and it we were able to use it the same day. it comes with a sturdy bag and the hoops are really solid metal. Don’t be tempted by inferior quality sets, This is a class addition to our games collection.

We are very new to croquet, bringing the love for it home from a holiday. So we decided to go for an inexpensive set (as there is a very steep price hike between ‘fun garden games’ and more professional sets) to see if the love was just a holiday romance! So this looks ok, a tad shoddy in places with some missed staining, poor quality wood and odd paintwork issues, but it looks ok and does the job if you’re looking for occasional light garden use. Yes you have to attach the mallets, but it astounds me that people complain about this when that fact is plastered all over the advert. It took a few moments and everything fits well in the storage bag supplied. Had this been £40-£50 I would have praised it as a bargain in the kids garden game set bracket. We spent a tad more hoping for something in the middle of kids set and pro set so were disappointed. Just go for a cheaper version or put your hand in your pocket and spend £200-300 for a decent set . Hopefully we will do the same if our love for croquet grows!
