Great product
This scanner was everything I expected and so much more. It has the same capabilities as the high priced ones. If your a weekend mechanic it's perfect and will most likely have more functions than you will ever need. It is extremely well made and durable which comes in handy while working on cars. The screen is easy to read and the product is easy to use over all.I really was surprised how much this little gadget told me about my vehicle. I bought it just to reset my check engine light after replacing O2 Sensors which it did just fine but it also made me aware of other problems I had with my vehicle. I highly recommend this product.

A must have
Love this code reader! I bought a used one and it was pretty useless. This one was super reasonably priced, and I used it on 3 different vehicles. For an older Silverado, it gave me great info and I was able to clear the code bc of the easy to understand info. On a newer SUV, it gave me codes even though I didn't even know it had any issues. This is a great tool to have in every house. Very much worth the money to have it available and not have to borrow it or go to the parts store for a reading. Also, it's a great way to check on the reliability of your mechanic. :)

Compact and affordable OBD2 monitoring
This is a self-contained OBD2 scanner which does not require WiFi or an APP on you mobile to talk to it. It is important to note that even though it is comprehensive and self-contained it is very affordable at $20 after the $10 coupon on Amazon as of this writing. Astonishingly for that price, it does provide a lot of information, even on my 2004 car.On Board Diagnostics port on most automobiles uses the OBD2 standard since about port I connected this device to my OBD2 port in my car and it instantly came to life with the main menu. It is mostly intuitive but since it has a minimalist user interface, maybe to make it affordable, it takes a little getting used to. The instructions it comes with and YouTube video it points to are both helpful but neither one is crystal clear. The main menu and subsequent sub-menu are both illustrated in the photos attached.Though the icons are laid out 3 by 3, you have to use just the up and down arrows to move among them and then press the OK button to select. Exit button works mostly as the ‘Back’ button. Settings can be used to select language and units of measurement (Metric or British).I was able to see codes, monitor engine speed, coolant temperature, battery voltage and many other items I may learn about someday. For now it is a good tool to look at the codes and know about the battery. Many items on my 2004 vehicle simply show as N/A and it is most likely because my car only makes available limited amount of info. However, the scanner seems capable of doing much more. It even contains a DTC look up where it interprets what the code means if you enter the code using the somewhat cumbersome interface. For charting various items, note that the graph title changes but the curve simply continues from where it left on the previous measurement. In the picture you can see that I did rpm measurement and then the coolant temperature and the graph line just continues from one to the other. It is a technical product and therefore, should improve the owner’s manual or at least somewhere on a website they should provide information about the various parameters it can measure. That would make it useful for owners like me who are not car mechanics. Their YouTube video is very cryptic and challenging to follow. O2 sensor menu is called Q2 sensor on their video. These errors are easy to correct and the video can be much more user friendly so I am giving the product 4 stars. However, the product is well worth the cost from a non-automotive tech point of view.

Not intuitive
I had been using a free phone app with an elm Bluetooth connector and wanted to upgrade. This scanner does not measure up against the free app the way I had hoped. It does fewer things and I didn't like the way line items were abbreviated, which made it harder to understand the data. I tried it and immediately switched back to my phone.

Works well
The media could not be loaded. Easy to use and accurate. Reads codes when engine light is on and the diagnosis is the same as other scanners that are much more expensive.
