Born to the Mob
Once I started it, it was hard to put down to tend to my responsabilites. It was very accurete. It brought back many old memeries of that time, some good, some bad. all and all it is a great read. Frankie and Fred did a great job keeping me in the whole story.

Born to the Mob
Taking into consideration the fact that every time I read a true crime story I try to separate the fact from the bullshit as let's face it the protagonist is usually a dog who is able to tell his story because he has turned rat and has turned in all of his friends and sometimes his family. Frank Saggio is no different; he turned dog and ratted on everyone all because he thought someone was trying to kill him. When the heat got turned his way he shit himself and broke the code he was bought up to live by, that generations of his family lived by.That is the reason why he is able to write his book. In all fairness the book is an easy and relatively entertaining read. Although there doesn't seem to be much substance to it or details. For someone who claims he was the mobs best earner (aren't they all?) he didn't seem to do much.It is a relatively easy and entertaining read, although it didn't really live up to the hype. There are better mob books out there.

All lies
No talk about the Antics group that was there or how Nancy Pelosi refused the help offered from then President Trump.Thankfully no police officers were seriously hurt,no weapons & no damage.

The Real Deal
Check this out, before you confuse me with some redneck hillbilly from Kentucky, let me lay it out for you like this. I was born and raised in GUNSET PARK, Brooklyn (where I've lived all my life). My family is 100% Colombian and I grew up all around Italian, Russian (etc) Organized Crime (many bada bings swear I'm Italian). I am also an Infantry Officer in the US Army Reserve, I studied Organized Crime at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and, last but not least, I ABSOLUTELY HATE mobsters. Yeah, I love to watch the Sopranos, read various mob books, etc, but I HATE mobsters. On that note, I have to say this book was the real deal. I especially loved the part on page 99 that talks about that punk Suge Knight. As for the part where the author claimed that Johnny Gatts was Castellano's Underboss, what the *$%^, it was probably a typo.I'll tell you what, though.... bada beep bada boop, I think some of these "New Yorkers" that ripped the book are prob former associates of Frankie who are mad that he rolled over on them and can't put a rocket in his pocket due to the fact that the FEDS have him well tucked away in the Program. To you guyz, remember this, the only way out of the life is in the can or in the trunk of a car!HA HA HA HA - that's what you get for being mobsters!

Factual Suspense
I am an avid reader of organized crime books and I have to admit I was taken back by one of the reviews written from Buffet of BS from Stamford,CT and researched his comment in reference to Benjamin "Lefty Guns Ruggerio" I thaught I remembered reading something about lefty's gambling problem, so I went back and skimmed through my "Donnie Brasco" book and sure enough on page 149 a similar statement to that of Frank Saggio's was made by FBI Agent Joseph Pistone and I quote "His problem was so bad that it had delayed his becoming a made guy. He told me that when I first met him, he wasn't made yet, and that was because he hadn't paid off his gambling debts. He whittled them down some, and because of that he was able to get made shortly after I met him, in the summer of 1977. But now he was in hock again for a huge amount." This book is obviously thoroughly researched; seems to me that Frank Saggio has his facts straight and CT doesn't know much about this subject. I found it to be a great read.

I've read better
Too many factual errors. To much downplay on historical events just to build himself up. One of the worst Mob books I've ever read.
