CatastrophiCreations Cat Escape Hatch Handcrafted Elevated Wall

The pieces are great and they really love the escape hatch !

My cat's don't really like these. We bought 3, and they aren't cheap. They don't want to go through the holes, but prefer to reach around the outside, dig their claws into the twine wrapped around the inside, to pull themselves up. I think the problem is, going through the hole, there isn't anything for them to dig their claws into, and not enough room to jump up through the hole. We are going to try attaching some carpet or something to the top and see if that helps them. But, to be honest, I've only seen one of my cat's willingly climb up them once. Our other cat, not at all, and when we try putting her up there, she can't get down through the central holes and either jumps from too high up or cries until we lift her down. Both cats love to climb and play on their cat towers, the shelving and our china hutch, so I know they should feel comfortable on the wall shelves, its just the placement of the hole, the lack of flat space around it and the fact that there is nothing for them to grab onto that I believe they don't like.

to be very honest I could just go to home depot and makes all of this but the price and durability shows it is up to par of a make it yourself project so really for the materials and type of lobar went in to assemble this, the price is about right. when it comes to my cat he loves it he is huge for a 1 year old because he is a special type of cat but he fits right thro and enjoys the material rub his fur.

I thought this thing would be a great flow through for the cats but NOPE it's used for belly fat🤣 (as you can see). This thing is super sturdy too! Added bonus they love to play through that hole.

Sturdy and easy to mount. Both end met up with studs.

We used this shelf to build onto a structure we already had on the wall. Really nice quality. Our cat hopped on the furniture while we were installing it. Worth every penny!
