This speed hiker attacks terrain. Its ventilated mesh upper is made for hot temps and forging creeks. Efficiency comes from the unifly™ midsole.

Love them, great fit and comfortable
Love them, great fit, comfortable and nice looking, wich is rare for most shoes that target activities like the ones this shoe is for.I bought them for a cruise trip where I had to jump into rivers, ride ATV on flooded roads, do some snorkeling on areas that required shoes sometimes to walk over some rocks, and other water activities. They performed A+.They fit secure and dry quickly. The only minor detail is that over certain few surfaces they sole don't have as much grip as I will prefer, but is not a deal breaker.

Great for more than a year
Great shoe for summer hiking and rocky beaches. Comfortable and breathable. If they ever wear out, I'd buy them again.

Best multi-purpose shoes I've owned so far.
I love, love, LOVE these shoes. This will be my second pair in something like 10 years. The first pair took me for over a month in Tahiti and have been everywhere in between since about 2017.I got them originally because I wanted something hikable that would dry quickly as our trip in Tahiti found us on a boat for 2 weeks. I also wanted them to double as water shoes that would do a little more than sandals to keep rocks and gravel out. After that trip they've been out numerous times camping, fishing, and vacationing in other places and have performed very faithful service as an everyday shoe because of their comfort. I Love these shoes. They're definitely a very good mixture of just the right amount of lots of things for me. For my lifestyle they're like a sport utility shoe. Does lots of things well but nothing perfect. Regardless the trade offs are all more than tolerable and beat the pants off of most shoes I've purchased in the past to do one or two things.-First, they perform as a workable water shoe. They will stay a little wet but I haven't had many problems getting them to dry after about a day in the sun. Even when wet they don't stay soaking or sopping wet for long.-I would very easily trust them for hiking and backpacking for long periods of time. Although, I haven't done much of that with them yet I imagine some waterproof socks and wicking socks would complete the ensemble to make these very comfortable thru trip gear.-The comments about them letting in sand is true. Sand yes, rocks NO! I can tolerate a little sand in my shoes but stepping on gravel or sharp shells can screw up your whole day. They kept the big stuff out and that's what I really cared about.-They're very comfortable and light. Nothing overly supportive or gangly and tough to screw up your natural stride. Going on dayhikes are a dream.-Resilliant. These have been in the washer more than a few times. I must have worn them for thousands of walked miles now and they're holding up well. No delaminated rubber or anything unusual considering the amount of wear. The ONLY reason I'm buying another pair, in fact, is so that I have a reliable/fresher pair to take on longer hikes where I don't want to worry about a failure. In all seriousness, these have outlasted a few pairs of Catepillar steel toe workboots and a number of other pieces of footwear I use less frequently. They've been covered in cement, used to kick or push rocks, walked in for god knows how many steps, survived my disgusting foot smell, been washed and dried more than once and they're still in good shape and look decent enough to wear into town on weekends... Just amazing.

Great but limited hiker
I have been on the search for the perfect hiker for my feet for a few years now and stumbled on these by accident. I had developed plantar fasciitis in my feet over time, and found by another accident that I could keep the pain away by wearing no-rise shoes. Most of the shoes in that category are minimalist and make terrible hiking/backpacking shoes. The All-Out series of Merrell shoes feature a low rise (4mm I think?), which isn't perfect, but so much better than the tall rise on most other sporting shoes. Among other shoes, I purchased the standard version of the blaze and was fairly happy with it, though I would get blisters on the top of my feet after long treks because of the way they're sewn together. I had also picked up a pair of these simply because they were cheap (maybe $40 at the time) just to mess around with on the beach or what not. Well, I accidentally grabbed them for a backpacking trip, and the rest it history. Same fit, and beefy sole, but no awkward sewing job across the toes since it's all mesh.Oddly, I think these make for a pretty terrible water shoe. They don't drain particularly well, and they take forever to dry. They're moderately comfortable to hike in while wet, but they'll stay wet for a while. And not surprisingly, the mesh will let in all matter of dirt and fine particles, though I haven't found it particularly bad as others have. I recently took them down the sandy scree of Sawtooth Pass in SNF and didn't find that they took on more debris than any other shoe (vs boot). My feet though, under the socks, are a horrifying dark mess every time I pull these off - the downside of a mesh hiker. My only other gripe is with the grip. Traction is pretty good on wet surfaces, but anything with a touch of sand over rock is a nightmare. I now take hiking poles with me when I know the descents are going to be dusty or sandy so I can catch myself easier when these inevitably slip. But I take these trade-offs because I end up with a generally blister-free foot with little to no plantar fasciitis pain at the end of the day.

Pretty good water shoe
I used these to climb on the lava rocks on the beach on oahu. They worked well but they are not impervious to sea urchins. I got stubbed though the shoe. These are well made but the loops the laces run though are not very durable. One of them ripped out. Luckily my wife fixed them for me.

Great for everyday and on the trails
Brilliant shoes. I've had mine for 14 months now and am going to buy another pair. They have had heavy sustained use and I am quite heavy footed so yes they have taken a lot of abuse and have the wear and tear to show for it, but I am only getting rid of them now as the outsole has finally worn down and has a hole in it. But the Vibram soles have held up very well overall.I have worn these as everyday shoes to work (I don't have to dress smart for my work!) and out and about in town, and have also worn them on hiking and camping trips and up and down mountains. They are brilliant and look good too! Obviously they are not hardcore mountain boots so do be realistic, but for a day on the trail they are great. They feel flatter underfoot than other shoes and this can take adjusting to a little - they may feel slightly uncomfortable for a week or so but you will get used to them!Very breathable of course due to mesh design. Obviously this makes them utterly non-waterproof... not a bad thing! Just be wary if going out in the rain or on wet/damp ground because your feet will get wet. But in warm weather your feet will be free to breathe! These are also useful on the beach if for whatever reason you are not a fan of sandals. Sand is fairly easy to remove and if they get wet they won't be ruined (although with salt water I would definitely advise giving them a clean afterward)

Good, but
These shoes have been great. Fit is excellent, they grip well in all conditions and they are cool and comfortable. I still wear them frequently for everything from commuting to work through gardening to weekend walks.4 Stars only because they have not worn as well as they should at this price. The sole and structure are fine but the lightweight mesh upper is badly scuffed and torn and has worn through on the outers just behind the toes.Am I going to buy another pair? ...... probably.

Vegan Hiker
These are a good effort from Merrell,I did not have to order a size up which I normally have to with Merrell. The toebox is pretty much a barefoot one, part of the reason I bought them, look at the ovehead pic of them, and you will see what I mean, plenty of room for toes to move. The other good thing is they are vegan,(although it doesnt say it on Amazon,it does say it on main Merrell website.)Also I think the style of them is great.Have deducted one star because the arch support is quite hard and too high, hoping this will wear in over time. They do not come with removable insoles,at least mine did not.

Nice comfortable trainers
Nice comfortable trainers, I recently bought them for my holiday in Benidorm, they were light but I couldn't wear them much as I have cloven hooves, my other horse friends loved them as they matched my saddle, I'll need to order another pair as, in my haste to purchase them, I forgot that I have in fact got 4 hooves, not 2. Silly me, well worth the price, quick delivery too, which was great.

Great wide fitting shoe
- Nice looking - I have the black and the green and both look good- Wide fit maximises toe mobility without making the shoe feel loose- Stable and light - not as stable as the GTX version of the All Out Blaze but this is not a hiking shoe- Durability. No loose threads. Reinforced toe minimises wear. Material seems tear resistant- Breathable. The mesh is great for warm weather or indoor use but not for cold feet. Not a shoe for windy winter walks- I didn't have to break these in. They were comfortable from day 1
