This device is built for War, no doubt.
Package arrived early and in good shape. This optic is an Israeli product designed for the Tavor line of carbine rifles. It's designed to work best with the Meprolight M21 or M5 RDS. With that being said, it will also work with any AR15 style rifle/carbine with Red Dot Optic. The Israelis are known for making good products built for War, this item is no different. It is of solid construction and fairly light, the glass is very clear, smooth controls for centering your red dot in the magnifier, the flip capability is strong, sound and locking. The big plus for me is that I do have an astigmatism when it come to red dots and reflex optics, but with this device...When I look through the MX3 Flip to my Tavor mounted M21 reflex optic the triangle is now very crisp/clear and sharp. I figure results may very from end user to end user, but with the magnifier it does help to focus the light for your eye. The QD base is very well built and the tork can be adjusted for a tighter more secure fit as needed. The Optic flips to the right by default, but can be reversed as needed, so it does offer some flexibility. Eye relief seems to be very forgiving and allows for some variable distance play. It is a fix 3X power with lots of focus adjustment, you're able to really fine tune the clarity of your field of view. Field of view is very good as well, you will not get lost in the magnification; for a lack of a better term...for me it's at that perfect sweet spot. When you handle this device, you will see right off the bat, this isn't just any Wal-Mart special, but a product designed to last.Update: 21Nov18I have been using this magnifier heavily since I bought it, and I have to say it is excellent. The range I use goes out to 800 meters and I have no problems seeing the targets with clarity. This optic allows me to easily reach out to the 400 meter steel and make hits with the Tavor SAR carbine 16 1/2' barrel using IMI M193 556X45 55gr ammunition. Up close, it easily flips out of the way as needed. It does not impede my field of view when it's flipped out of the way.also, you can easily just detach it with the QD mount that comes with it. Since April of this year, I have almost 2000 rds fired and not once has it worked it's way loose. When it's locked down, it's locked down...no doubting it's ability. I've actually upgraded my optic that I use to the Meprolight MOR with laser, all I can say is it's just that much better. I could not be more pleased with this magnifier or the price.

unacceptable as I like to target shoot at 100 yards
RUGER GP 100 - I had to file the front a bit as others report, also I noticed the rear tab is a bit too small side to side (there is about .003" windage play in rear sight) (or about 3/4 inch at 50 yards, unacceptable as I like to target shoot at 100 yards. What I did was cut a strip of an aluminum beverage can and tap it in as a shim (i had to try several types of materials until I found a suitable thickness) The iced-tea-can fights tight and now there is zero play, I have shot hundreds of ro and hundreds unds (full power 357 mag), and the sights remain right on. The dots are acceptable for daytime use, and the nightsight is bright enough for low light. Considering the acceptable sight picture - night or day the lower price and with easy cheap fix I must rate the sight as a 5 star.

Great sight, but front sight fit issue
I took a chance and bought this sight for my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter, figuring the differences between the Super Blackhawk Hunter, GP100 and Super Redhawk would be small. The rear sight fit perfectly and went in with zero problems. As with some of the GP100 shooters, I found that the base of the front sight was a little too long - about 1/32" too long. This was nothing I couldn't take care of short order with a Dremel tool, a micro file, an Arkansas stone, and a little sight black. With about 10 minutes work I had it good to go and fitting perfectly. Note that the front sight base is also about 1/32" narrower on either side than the integral barrel ramp of the Super Blackhawk Hunter, but this is a purely cosmetic issue; IMHO the sight looks just fine in place. This front sight is also a shade shorter than the standard issue Super Blackhawk Hunter front sight, but there's more than enough adjustment in the rear sight to account for the height difference. My guess is that there is some variation in the front sights of the various Ruger revolvers, and perhaps even within different vintages of the same revolver. In other words, some fitting may be required. If you have the least bit of skill with hand tools you can handle this yourself, otherwise a visit to your friendly local gunsmith is in order. Given the dearth of tritium night sights for Ruger revolvers, in my view the small extra effort is well worth it. It would be nice if the good folks at Meprolight would make front sights specific to the various Ruger revolvers, though.Hunting past daylight is no longer an issue. Hogs beware!!!

Front sight is very dim
The front sight takes some gunsmithing skill to install. It is very tight and must be filed down to fit. After installing the sights I noticed that the front sights did not glow much at all in the dark. The rear sights are fine (and i filed the front) so I’ll keep them and buy a new front sight. My front sights didn’t match the rear, and may have been substituted- I don’t know. They were not packaged in tamper resistant packaging. Check to see if your sights work before installing. I just expected new sights to work.

Fit Perfectly, Work As Described
Some others have posted that the front sight did not fit, I had no trouble at all. It snapped into place the first try. Please note that it takes some work to install the rear sight, a pivot pin must be driven out and there are small springs that are very easy to lose. Use care and take your time, seek online videos showing how to do it before attempting. You will need a 1/16th punch and a steady hand. That said mine fit perfectly and glow just as described. A big improvement over the factory sights. Very happy with my purchase.
