Zanussi SDA ZSB-810-YL Blender & Soup Maker, 900 W, Yellow

I use the soup maker two or three times a week. It is easy to use, makes really smooth soups, which I prefer, and it is easy to clean. It is noisy for the last minute of soup making but no more so than my last soup maker was. Very good price compared to some other stockists.

This Soup Maker is easy to use and makes a lovely smooth soup whilst cooking it at the same time, it is however a little bit noisier than most other soup makers/ blenders but it’s not exactly deafening whilst it’s blending

The media could not be loaded.  Good Soup Maker, so far so good. We've been using it for more than one month now, and we have nothing to complain. We prefer the program for smooth soup because de chunky leaves the veggies too big. The instruction manual is very short, just the basic stuff, no recipes. I found useful the instructions about how to clean the jug mixing warm water with soap. Well, if you get this blender you will se what I'm talking about. We are waiting for the summer looking for making cocktails since this blender can break the ice.

I was really looking forward to receiving the Zanussi Blender and Soup Maker. I bought all the ingredients and prepared them ready for my first batch of soup. Unpacked the machine and turned it on to find that the display was faulty (see image) and I couldn’t input any settings, all it showed was the timer. Returned for a full refund.

I wanted to like this item, but there were a couple of things that just made it unusable for me.First, I chose this over other models because of what looked like flexibility in manual modes. However, you can't manually stir and heat at the same time, which makes the manual features useless for me, since this means it's easy to burn the soup to the bottom of the container.Once something gets burned on, it becomes impossible to clean off. The blade is also on the bottom, so it's quite hard to scrub off anything on the bottom.I also tried using the only 2 features that have blend and heat combined. I don't like how the time is not adjustable for the "smooth" and "chunky" soup settings. I had nut cereal I was cooking that didn't need as long, but ended up cooking for 35 minutes because the timing wasn't customizable. The outside of the blender was very hot, and there was some burnt on nut powder on the bottom.

I was in the market for a blender - just wanted to make some smoothies. And then I found this 2 in 1 device. I thought to myself a soup maker will be a nice bonus. And I'm so glad I've picked this device.Pros:- the stainless steel jug - much more resilient than plastic or glass- the blade is part of the jug. Initial I thought it might be a con, because I thought it will be harder to clean. Not the case - rinsing it with some water after use is all you need. If you forget - no problem - you just add some water and dish soap to the jug use the heating function, press stir few times and it will clean itself.-the soup maker is a nice bonus - add some vegetables, water, stock and you will have a nice creamy soup in 25 min. Just one button press.- it crushes ice well- the digital display and buttons- it only powers on with the lid twisted into a lock position, so super safe- you could probably use as a kettle if you want to : )Cons- it is loud ...but most blenders are. Other than that it's great.Overall great purchase. And I was lucky enough to get it for only £48. Bargain!

This gives you good options for heating, blending and temperature….. however instructions are not helpful if you wish to be told ‘press this then this and then start’ my first attempt resulted in the soup not blended- my error though … would possibly not recommend for elderly as it complicated ….also the blender is extremely noisy…. I like that you can stop this at any point - that is fantastic-Going to give it another go as it has the potential to be great and exactly what I want but also disappointed slightly for the cost and brand..

The item it self is very nice looking I didn’t realise the plug doesn’t fit Australian power points so haven’t actually got to use it yet
