Rothco Tactical BDU Cargo Shorts

Pros: They fit well, move well, weren't unbearably hot in 90° direct sunlight, moved well when running and crouching, didn't fold uncomfortably when sitting in various positions in a chair and on the ground (they dug in at the eaist when in a car or chair, but they sit higher on me than they probably would on average.) Thick enough to be durable and hold up well and seem well made in the seams, the surface feels like it would be water-wicking though I haven't gotten to confirm that. The pockets are great, when buttoned there's likely not a chance under the sun that you're losing whatever you store, the pockets on the side are folded over so they open out to hold more. The adjusters on the side hold surprisingly well. The overall quality and look of these is fantastic. Cons: The back pocket is a little small, but I also have a larger smartphone so take that with a grain of salt. The buttons go into button holes on the underside of the pocket flaps, and are a tad difficult to do and undo in a timely manner simply because the fabric is tough. I'm sure with more usage and washing, they'll ease up. (But again, because of how the pockets are made and how they close, you're never losing anything you store so this isn't entirely a con.) When sitting in a chair or the car, the waist dug in a little but I think that's just because they sit a little higher on me than they would on average, so again, grain of salt. Your experience might be different. When the time comes to replace my shorts I will absolutely be buying from this brand again, zero hesitation. 100% recommend. I probably could've gone up a size for a more baggy fit, but they're great either way.

So this is a quick fix 100% satisfaction, so im a pretty big guy, 6"5 265 anyway when I first ordered i ordered a 2xl well they were massive really big and my waist is a 38 us size , and the 2xl even with draw sides to tighten like regular bdu's from my other life didn't help got a return and order correct size which for my waist is a 38 US size, Xl and still a little on the draw cords and looks great fits great to the knee, they I wear them. They are perfect and got them in a few different colors to help my shoe game pop! So if your curious about waist size 38-40 maybe 41 if your an off size in US sizes would be XL the 2xl I bought when tried on, they were probably 42 up at least 4 sizes before you would have to use draw cords. Hope this helps you all the quality of the threading is pretty thick and comfortable nice colors in camo, that is why I got a few colors, for camo lovers. Again I will be watching for more colors if not I will contact the seller with private list and see if I can get all colors. 100%

The perfect Death Metal Dad shorts. Fit is a little big. Taking one star off because the fly buttons are prone to breaking off. I have warrantied several pairs due to this. But most recently I replaced them with metal rivet-on buttons for jeans which are much stronger. I suggest you do the same to avoid potential disasters in public.

Pretty good quality, a little thin but comfortable. They run a little big but not by much, I'm going to order more but in a large.

Let me start by saying, I like the shorts, but for the price the quality control should be better. Maybe I just got a lemon. My pants size is 50, and I ordered a 3x as per the chart. I would say the waist size was fairly accurate. It does run a bit big in the waist, but the shorts also have the slides on the hips to draw in the waist. So the running bid was negligible in my case. The shorts are loose in the thighs, and the length covers my knees. Personal, I like the fit. I'm 6"1'. I work as a dispatcher for our company, we wear hard uniforms and BDU/Cargo pants. Working in dispatch, I'm not required to wear a duty belt, so I don't wear one. I mention this because the added weight of a duty belt with gear was not a factor in the issue I had with my shorts. That being said, a lot of the other officers are required to wear duty belts with keepers, gears, and some are armed. Weight from their duty belt/gear would be a factor in this. On the third day of wearing these shorts, a belt loop lost its bottom stitch/tack to the shorts. What was a bit upsetting was I just buckled my belt and was sliding the tongue through the first belt loop. Just the tongue of the belt sliding through the belt loop was enough for the belt loop stitch/tack to come undone. The price of these shorts was high enough for me to think something like this wouldn't happen. As I started off with, I liked the feel of these shorts. Maybe I got a lemon that slipped by QA inspection. I did not return the shorts, because I don't have the original packing and I don't want to go through the hassle. If anyone is wondering, I plan on ordering another pair from this company. If I was required to wear duty belt, especially if I was in a armed position, then I would just spend the extra money to buy from Gall's directly or surplus store online. We don't have military surplus stores where I currently live. Our company orders from Gall's but the process takes too long. So in closing, I like the feel of the shorts, QA needs improvement, and keep your original packaging until your sure. Hope no future customers receive lemons.

This is the third pair of shorts I have from Rothco and they are great. Great fit and no issues with crappy material or manufacture. I practically live in these shorts. You can't go wrong with these.

These cargo shorts need to have BDU removed from all descriptions because they are nothing like BDUs. The sizing and overall fit is completely wrong to include BDU in the description. These cargo shorts have a severe case of the "skinny pants". I was expecting to receive a shorts version of proper BDUs and these did a terrible job at adapting into shorts. Every pocket on these are worthless... putting anything into the pockets makes the shorts feel uncomfortable and negatively impacts the look. The placement and dimensions of the front pockets are terrible. The front pockets can barely fit my small cellphone without it falling out. The front pockets also puts the phone at a very awkward position/angle that makes my front look like it has a huge bulge. The back pockets are also very shallow and do a terrible job holding my wallet. When my wallet is in the back pocket, it pulls the shorts and makes them feel very tight. The wallet will also start to ride up and attempt to wiggle its way out of my pocket when walking. The side cargo pockets are vastly different from real BDUs as well. The side cargo pockets are at least 1/2" shorter and have less stretch to accommodate large items. The side pockets have two buttons. Normally, I can use BDU side cargo pockets with 1 button so I can easily fit my hand into the pocket to add/remove items... but there are too tight. Normal BDU side cargo pockets can fit a 3L soda bottle with no issues, these barely allow for a 2L soda bottle. The overall material is a poly/cotton blend, which I like because it dries fast. The material does feel thinner and more lightweight that normal BDUs. The overall length of these shorts are very short... about 4-5" shorter than expected. Normal shorts usually rest right above my knee, but I cannot even pull them down that low. I wear a LL Large Long BDU and got a L Large in these shorts, which feels to be the correct size for what I need. The waist size feels similar, but everything else like overall sizing, fit, pocket positioning, and comfort is terrible with these shorts. I have zero of the problems that I listed with proper BDUs. Overall, I think these could be great if you love skinny pants and love skinny shorts. If you like or want BDUs in a shorts version, hard pass... keep on looking! Rothco needs to drop BDU from the name of these cargo shorts because they are nothing alike!

生地が薄くも厚くもなく短パンとして丁度いい感じです 当たり外れがあるみたいな事を他のレビューで見てたのですが 届いた奴は左のメインポケットの口が少し狭い感じがありました ほかは特に気になるような所は無かったです 写真、説明にもありますがフロントがボタン締め 他のポケットも全てボタン締めなので、ファスナーやマジックテープ式がいい人は注意です
