Great envelope glue for handmade envelopes
This is a great envelope adhesive. I make my own cards and matching envelopes, but like the opportunity for recipients of my handmade cards to be able to seal the envelope without providing their own adhesive. This stuff really works. You apply it, then let it dry completely (I usually let my envelopes sit out for several hours). Now, when the envelope is ready to be sealed, they can moisten it as they would a commercially made envelope and it stays sealed perfectly. While I love this product, there were a few things I had to get used to: 1. It is fairly wet, so will warp your paper after it is applied. The warpage is fairly minimal and if you stacks some books or heavy objects on it overnight, becomes much less noticeable. Additionally, once you moisten it to seal the envelope, you really can't tell that it was ever warped. 2. It can be tricky to apply just the right amount. You have to squeeze the bottle as it is not free-flowing from the spongy applicator. Squeeze too much and you've got a mess! Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for and haven't found a better or cheaper alternative yet. I bought one bottle, it's about 1/3 gone and I've used it for probably 75 envelopes.

Best Glue for Handmade Envelopes
This glue does what it's intended to do, and does it well. It dries very fast and forms a strong bond, both for gluing the body of the envelopes, adding liners or creating a remoistenable flap. I used this to make 55 glitter-lined wedding RSVP envelopes from scratch and even though the paper was very delicate, the glue didn't warp it as long as I was careful not to apply too much. The only problem I have with it is that if you press down too hard/often, too much glue is dispensed, so just avoid doing that and you'll be fine.

Perfect For DIY Envelopes & More!
The Lick & Stick Remoistenable Envelope Glue was exactly what I needed for the DIY envelopes I make to use with the handmade cards I create. Simply spread it on your envelope flap let dry & when you want to use it simply lick/moisten the flap & stick it - it couldn't be more simpler! If you're a crafter like me then you can also use this to stick things besides envelopes - paper die-cuts, magazine cut-outs, etc., apply it the same way as above & let it dry & then moisten the die-cut or cut-out and attach it to your scrapbook page or journal book. It's a great item to have in your stash!

Works well when spread thinly
Don't put too much on! I made that mistake and my envelope flap dried very lumpy. A nice thin layer works just fine, and it really did seal nicely when I later used the envelope.

Great product ,shipped quickly and works wonderfully !
works great ..I would suggest you use painters tape to mark a boundry to give yourself a nice straight edge when applying to envelope lids .... works fantastic..but I think it is too small a bottle for glue to last for real project people like myself. wish I could find it in a pinte refillable or something. I love it !

The lick and stick is ok in a pinch but I've found something that works better. I've since started using double-sided tape like
It's hard to apply in a neat way (and in an even line) without getting it places you don't want. Apply too much and it takes forever to dry and wets the paper overly, with the issues that wetting can cause. And then of course if you get other envelopes or whatever too close when this stuff is drying, they stick together. The lick and stick is ok in a pinch but I've found something that works better. I've since started using double-sided tape like Scor-Pal's Scor-Tape http://www.amazon.com/Scor-Pal-SP202-Scor-Tape-0-25-27-Yard/dp/B001RQ55ZQ/ when making envelopes for notecards - just cut off however much tape you want to use, apply to the envelope flap and leave the tape backing still attached on the other side of the tape. When closing the envelope, the user simply peels the backing off the Scor-Tape and closes the envelope. For little thank you notecards that don't go through the mail, you only need half an inch to an inch to keep the flap closed, so that's an economical way to make envelopes when you don't want to stick it closed immediately. And when making envelopes for a classroom of valentines day cards or whatever, the time saved is considerable over the lick and stick glue - you don't need to wait for the glue to dry, just slap a little piece of tape. I can now crank out a dozen mini envelopes for 3x4" notecards in maybe 15 minutes with 12 inch square scrapbook paper, a paper cutter, the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board, my Scotch brand advanced tape glider (ATG) tape gun, and Scor-Tape, at the cost of maybe 5 cents per envelope, if that.

Absolutely Necessary if you make cards
I make cards to give to people for THEM to mail. Oftentimes the cards are odd sized and I make my own envelopes. This is magic stuff. You make the envelope outta paper and then put this on the edges and let it dry - and then you have an envelope someone else can seal. Brilliant!

Not worth the trouble
I love to make my own envelopes and thought this would make my life easier- it didn't. I had to put several layers on and then be really careful when I licked it so that it had juuust the right amount of moisture. Even after all that they don't always stay closed and I usually end up just taping the envelopes shut. I'd say save yourself a bunch of time and just buy double sided tape.
