Artisan shaving products made in India
To start with this review is for the manufacturer as well as for the future buyer. In case you don’t want to read on my recommendation is 5 stars. For the detailed review of the brush and the soap let me divide this into 3 categories mainly performance , post shave feel and aesthetics. At the onset I would say this product line from the company has gotten me excited as this is made in india and we badly need artisan shaving products manufactured locally.AestheticsInitially I felt that the pricing was high and similar to many other artisan products made in Italy and the USA . However after looking at the brush with the heavy metallic handle , a unique design, and black dyed synthetic bristles I agree that this is optimally priced for now.I own many brushes , creams , soaps and a few DE razors. On purely the looks of it the brush stands out amongst my omega, razorock brushes . Pretty cool! The tin can was a welcome touch although I was expecting the faux silver one . The product description had no mention of it and the seller obviously has that for the 100 gm and with this bundle I got the 80gm soap tin. Most artisan shaving companies use plastic to save costs and the ones which have metallic or tin cans are a tad more expensive . The fragrance was pleasant but did not fill my room . Doesn’t take anything away from the soap as I prefer using my own fragrance post shave.PerformanceDue to the hard water in my area the method I use is to add few drops of water to the soap can and let it sit or “ bloom” for 5 minutes.Synthetic brushes don’t need to be dipped in water for a long time unlike boar or badger. After using the “ Bloom” water on my face I move the brush in swirls on the puck for around 1 minute. This normally gives enough soap for a 3 pass shave. The brush was good for face layering . 23-24 mm knots are ideal in imho. I had to add a few drops of water to the brush to get a nice cushion and rich lather. I used the brush and soap combo for two days for this review which is a first as I typically don’t use the same combo over the Week.On the first day I used my merkur 34c paired with a feather blade. On the second day I used my Edwin jagger 89de paired with a astra platinum blade. Both days results were the same as I explain below.Throughout the 3 passes the density of the lather was consistent . This was not dry lather. Razor glide was reasonably smooth. The brush handle which I still like immensely was a bit of a bother by the time I went to the 3 rd pass .Since it is a thinner handle you hold it in a pincer like grip between the thumb , index and the middle finger. The heft of the handle becomes a challenge by this time .This was a Small peeve. The bristles were soft but a tad more dense then my other synthetic . No performance loss though. The soap fragrance was as before I felt it would intensify upon lathering but that wasn’t the case. What please me was that this was a hard soap and while it is personal preference I do prefer hard soaps over croups or soft ones.So how does the soap fare with others in my rotation ? It is pretty good but doesn’t challenge my “chiseled face groomatorium “croup which is an absolute beast. It is definitely better than tabac, another soap on the harder side but falls a wee bit short of haslinger which again imho is the king of hard soaps. The brush deserves a place on anyone’s mantelpiece and is great but I will still be using my other brushes regularly along with itPost shave feelThis was mentioned in the small note and I don’t disagree that the feel was not overtly dry and reasonably slick. The irritation check , I rub a wet alum block on the face to check this , was also a pass. A slight amount of irritation in the sensitive neck area but none elsewhere . I got a fairly close shave but not bbs, baby butt smooth. This is not something I get with most soaps except the ones I mentioned above but unless you are extremely close 😉 you can’t make out. This company and its products have me excited . Excited enough to write my longest amazon review 😊Few rants and peeves areChange the fonts to something more legible . The artistic calligraphy is hardly legible even with my glasses at the back of the soap tin.The owners letter suffers the same fate and honestly I appreciate the effort in creating this but maybe that story isn’t for everyone .I would suggest talking more about th oils and fragrances and the inspiration for that in a write up. This is something razorock Guys, the Italian barber do quite well when they come up with a new soap or product .Finally the collection is incomplete with a corresponding long lasting after shave and a beautiful razor, a good razor will be extremely challenging to make . And I can’t wait for more varieties of soaps and brushes as that’s the only way at the customers get hooked. For DE shavers waiting at the end of the puck to buy another is not an option . This is addictive. To conclude that this product gives hope that we don’t always have to run to other countries to get quality old school wet shaving products .I just hope I got the soap in that faux silver tin , but that’s what I would do when I go for the wooden umber scent 😊As I write the product combo is out of stock , not sure if this is high demand or some of inventory management glitch .

Loved it
Bought it for my husband who believes in using soaps for shaving. The smell is exquisite and lathers well. The brush is nice and thick and have not seen any hair in the sink so hoping this will last.Definitely gifting this to my friends in the future.Well done Meheer, great product. Just one suggestion please increase the font on both your letter and shaving tips, struggled reading it.

My best possession in the Shaving Den..
The Best shaving soap and brush that I ve ever used. I have used the combination and completely satisfied. The package is very tastefully designed and an appealing possession in the shaving den. The soap produces good and slick lather. It’s wild seas scent is refreshing and mesmerising for me..The brush looks cool and trendy.. Very soft brush with a fantastic loft.

Absolutely a winner all the way. 5 Stars!!
Absolutely outstanding!! I received a strong recommendation from a friend and ordered the shaving soap and the brush a bit reluctantly having moved on to a shaving foam a few years back.Though once the products arrived in quick time and I used them, I was simply amazed at both the quality of the shave and the ease of use. Frankly the shaving experience was quite enjoyable too.I would give 5 stars and a strong recommendation.
