Unlike most buyers of this product, I am not using this in an air cleaner. I own some air cleaners, but found that it was too expensive keeping up with filter replacement costs. Instead, I trim to fit and place these charcoal filters in my registers. They do a wonderful job and have reduced my dusting DRAMATICALLY! Also, the air in my house is much cleaner. I appreciate that these are not too thick which makes them easier to fit into the air registers and still allow air flow.

I guess I don't quite understand the point of a specific model number if I have to cut the sheets to fit my filter anyway. I might as well have just bought generic carbon filters. Also, I don't recall any directions coming with these and when I put it in the filter seemed to be blowing a strange odor (perhaps loose carbon). I have since washed the filter, which I probably should have done before putting it in, but heck, like I said, what's the point of brand name filters if I have to cut it and wash it myself? I guess next time I'll get generic because there's no value added in the brand name.

The pre-filters I received were wrapped nicely and in great condition! They also appeared to be similar to the Hunter pre-filters I ordered in the past. Each of pre-filter is folded over itself and is actually big enough to serve as two filters. I had to cut it in half to fit my Hunter HEPAtech. Thus, you are effectively paying for 4 filters which should be changed routinely every 2-3 months. These can probably last just about the whole year then!

I needed new prefilters for my air cleaner. They really work to help my allergies--so much dust collects on them that I am always startled when I change them. These filters work well, are easy to cut to fit and install and best of all, when I order them from Amazon they are here before I have time to even think about going to the store!!

This is a cut to fit carbon filter, that I use for my air purifier's first filter. It is exactly as advertised and came well packaged. The ship time was a little long, and the package was not trackable, which are the only things keeping me from giving it five stars. Other than that, it is the exact same thing I used to be able to buy locally and works perfectly.

worked for me. each piece makes 2 and a little left over. they are sink washable so when 1s drying you can put in a fresh already dry 1. take scissors and cut 11 inches long a piece and these 2 will make 4 filters. you shouldnt need more in your lifetime. they are thicker and more heavy duty than the factory hunter pre-filter, i like them.

My old filter was almost black ! This filter really works well and takes out all the dust from the air...it's apparent when you use it for about 1 week...I wonder how much longer the manufacture will keep making these filters...seems like they keep making new air filter models with new filters

You have to trim them but for my Hunter Air Purifier I can get 6 filters out of the two that were shipped. The thickness and density of the filter material is comparable to the original. The filter works as designed and are a much better value than the original.
