Best value for an auto A/C charger
Maybe not pro quality, but for someone who just needs to "juice up" their pickup the brass coupling and stainless steel can tap can't be beat for under $20. Easy to use. Had my old '99 Dodge blowing cold in minutes!

WILL NOT WORK with SELF-SEALING CANS!
I wasn't aware of this before ordering, and I don't see any mention of it on the page. New bottles of AC refrigerant are now, by law, in self-sealing cans. These cans will not accept the old standard bottles that have puncture-to-open cans. This kit will screw onto the old style cans, but will NOT open the valve. You can order valves to attach to this tool, to replace the old valve, and it works fine with the new self-sealing cans. By the way, the new self-sealing cans will allow you to remove the bottle if it's only partially used, without venting to the atmosphere - that's a good thing.

Look closely at the R134a can fitting
Currently unavailable on Amazon, so maybe this is a moot point. However, i just ordered and received this product. hose length is decent, fittings are metal and good quality. However, i have not used this yet because of the refrigerant can connection end. I didn't notice this when i ordered, but while all other hoses sold on amazon have a screw fitting for the can of R134a, this has a cam lock style fitting. It holds the can securely, however, you then have to screw the fitting down to make a butt connection on the can of R134a (before you pierce the can with the needle "T" screw at the top). It does have a little rubber seal, but the threads are cut so loose on the fitting that when you screw the piece down tightly to try to make a seal to the top of the can, it will torque to one side. This to me means that it compromises the seal. I decided not to use this and am looking for another hose that has the typical fitting that screws on the R134a can. That to me is a better, pressure tight seal that is less likely to leak the freon to the atmosphere.
