Ok so, ignore the round wood piece. That's something my husband and I added to it to help anchor this light better to the ceiling, as the light fixture that was in our bathroom before was an odd size and left a bigger hole than standard light would. Overall this light was stupid easy to install and it looks amazing. The wire shades it comes with are straight metal. They don't feel cheap or flimsy. The wires are super long but can be adjusted to any length you'd like. I sized them down drastically and was able to coil the excess length of the wire inside the casing itself just fine. It just takes some finnesing. They're a bit larger than I expected but that's my fault for not measuring. I kind of jumped the gun and bought these since it matched the vanity wall lights in our bathroom and there was a used one available for over half off the original value price. Considering it was "used" and half price, this thing came in looking brand new. The only fault it had was the box it came in was tore up and taped over a bunch. But I'm assuming that's why it was half off so I can't complain there.

This light fixture did not arrive in an Amazon box, so as it sat on my porch anyone could see what it was and after the electrican had my other light removed and a hole drilled in my new location, he noticed that the base was dented and didn't sit flat against the ceiling. Since I already had him there and didn't want to be without a light source and look at the big hole for God knows how long, he straighten it as much as he could and installed the light. I don't think it was damaged during shipment because all of the other parts were fine. I think it was damaged before it was placed in the box. I really hope you can make this right as I am on a fixed income and don't have extra money to pay for an electrical twice and absolutely hate returning things.

I needed a very bright light fixture for my sewing/crafts room, and this light totally fits the bill! The amount of light it produces is perfect for sewing and crafting where I need a lot of illumination to see tiny details. As a further added bonus, the light and shadow patterns it makes on the ceiling are just beautiful! I love this light!

Looks great in our kitchen with the vintage Edison style bulbs! However, it was poorly packaged. The mailman had to leave the box bottom up, because the bottom of the box wouldn't stay closed. There were only the flimsy cardboard tabs that were part of the box that was supposed to hold it closed. Fortunately nothing was missing, but the boxes need to be taped shut top and bottom.

Loved having such a long cord so we were able to slowly cut and adjust the length we needed for our smaller dining room. Changes the whole look of the room, we love it!

This looks great. My only complaint is that the description implies that the length is adjustable, but you have to rewire the whole thing to adjust it. It was a huge pain. Other than that, it was easy to install, and I love it.

Great light fixture! Wish my ceilings were a little taller so they could be longer. I'm pretty happy with it. Shipping was fast (came a day earlier than the the delivery date stated.)

Love this in our upstairs hallway. Easy to install and we were able to adjust to make it shorter to fit our space.

Cheap material. Light socket doesn't sit flush with the light cage. But the price is right.
