Live Clean Apple Cider Detox Shampoo

Great shampoo especially if you color your hair and need to fade the color

I love the smell of this shampoo and it does seem to clean my hair well. It leaves my hair feeling "squeaky clean." I use it twice a month and follow it up with a conditioner as well. For reference, I have thick, curly hair and I use water-soluble products like curling cream for the most part. So I can't speak to whether or not this would work if you use heavier products like gels.

This shampoo is pretty good. For one thing it is cruelty free, which I consider extremely important. For people that use regular, water soluble styling product in their hair this would be fine, and economical if they don't jack up the price a lot. (I paid $5+ for 12 oz.) And it has what I consider a very pleasant fragrance; a little like apples, a little bit like vinegar, but in a soft, pleasant way, to me anyway. It just isn't very strong, so for people like me that use wax-based pomade it isn't super useful as it isn't strong enough to wipe that wax out of your hair. I have to lather with it two or three times to get that squeaky clean. My last stripper was a L`Anza product that they unfortunately don't make any longer. It worked really well, as did the Bumble and Bumble ($$$) Sunday Shampoo. This isn't as strong. I am going to try the Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three next. Paul Mitchell is a really great, cruelty free, company too. Update: Well, a year later I've stumbled across my old review. I still use this, I'm still paying $5, and it still works well enough. I really do like the clean smell. I just later twice with it, then once with my "shiny" shampoo. No big deal.

Can’t stand when certain shampoos leave your hair feeling heavier and/or greasier after use. That is not the case with this product. Not only is it very affordable and a good value for what you pay, it actually combats oiliness and — at least for me — slows the production of scalp oil longer than any other shampoo I’ve used. It also doesn’t leave your scalp feeling dry, however. Hair and scalp feel truly clean after just one use. I try to use this once every two weeks, to keep hair healthy and scalp clean. Highly recommend. Smells great too!

finally a shampoo that keeps my oily hair from getting oily by end of the day

I absolutely love this product! I tend to have really oily hair and I hate washing it daily, so I do every other day . This keeps it looking good on the non wash day. I do two washes...first one has dull bubbles and the second time ...vary sudsy . I have short hair so I probably use about a nickel size amount . Smells great , not over scented. This is absolutely my favorite shampoo ...I truely appreciate the quality as I am serious about my products not haveing sulfates and parabins and especially love that it's not tested on animals . The only complaint I have is is that it used to be about $5+ now for some reason Amazon has it jacked up to over $10 . I watch for the price to flexuate ( it does) and last time I was able to get a few bottles for $6 plus dollars. I don't understand why it's gone way up. Great product for sure .

I have purchased this before and loved it, but this bottle seems like the ingredients have changed since the last time I purchased. This bottle leaves a film on my hair.

Smells good, like apples. The reason I got this brand is b/c its all natural so I don't have to put all that crap other brands have in my hair. Another reason is b/c apple cider vinegar is a good natural scalp exfoliant. Its removes all the dirt and oils that build up on your scalp better than regular shampoo. Of course I didnt want to walk around smelling like apple cider vinegar so this was a good substitute.
