Unbeatable value for a superlative outdoor jacket
I recently acquired one of these that had obviously seen a good bit of use on at least one deployment, and I was impressed by its quality. I wanted one size larger to layer under in colder weather, and was pleased to discover them being offered here in unissued condition, at an unbeatable price for such a versatile, practical, and rugged outer layer. The one I ordered here was absolutely pristine; I doubt it was ever even tried on. All the features match my used specimen except for the larger size, right down to the UK MOD contract number on the label. One could live in this jacket. The four vast front pockets are well made with Canadian style buttons for use with gloves, and feature overlaps on the top edge which fold over with the flaps to prevent smaller items from falling out. The outer chest pockets have gear loops sewn into them on the inside to secure small items (see photo), and the zippered map pockets under them include pen/pencil pockets that can be left as-is or widened for slightly larger items like hand sanitizer by removing one or both inner columns of stitching. The rank tab in the center of the storm flap can be used as a hands-free aid to secure a dog leash or similar item; I put a spring hook through the webbing loop that secures the button to hold a pair of gloves that clip together. Fit can be adjusted with drawcords at the waist and hem. A spray test for water repellency passed very well (as did the well-used one, actually), and there is double fabric on the shoulders, upper back, and upper arms to aid in keeping dry, as well as in the elbows for reinforcement. I haven't had a chance to test it in a real rain but these look to be a good choice for protection from the occasional shower. The hood is enormous but the wire allows fit and visibility to be customized. It rolls up and tucks out of the way nicely with a single button and loop that can be done up or undone without removing the smock. Even the drawcord snaps together to prevent the ends from batting the wearer in the face. Fabric is breathable but blocks wind very effectively. Every detail of this jacket inspires confidence and anyone who loves the outdoors will appreciate it.

A rugged military surplus coat....
This new surplus British military coat is of exceptional value for the price. I have been looking for a quality made, durable, non-insulated, all-weather outdoor jacket/car coat for some time now. There are a few decent offerings out there but the rugged coats are 200 to 300 bucks (lined or insulated). which I didn't need or want. This coat will be used in all weather conditions. It will be rolled and stored in my 4x4. Form over fashion was essential. This product checks all of the boxes for rough and ready wear. I bought my usual size large. Sizing is a pinch on the generous size but this was needed for military layering systems, The coat is fully adjustable to accommodate sizing for what's underneath so no worries. Plenty of pockets. The desert camo pattern looks good too. If you want the same type of garment buy this bargain before they are sold out.Update 27jun24: Was out in a couple of decent rain showers with the coat and no water penetration.

I absoluely love this British military issued field jacket!
This is a genuine field jacket! It's rugged, fits long, almost like a smock, and fantastic camo! BUY THIS NOW! Thank me later! By the way, I am a combat veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division [US ARMY]. This reminds me of my military-issued field jacket in the ARMY!

Very large items make sure to get correct size
I am 5 foot 10 inches tall. I ordered the large regular and it was huge. If I was 6 inches taller is still might have been just a little bit oversized.I returned it for a medium regular. It is still a little oversized over my t-shirt but will probably be perfect when worn over layers. It appears to be Genuine from the short amount of online research that I have done.It seem to be a good product in the hour that I have had it. I might order another one to keep in my vehicle just incase of inclement weather.

A sort of a funny fit. A very thin jacket, only to be worn as a wind breaker or rain jacket----not for warmth. However the camo pattern is odd enough to be interesting. If different is your thing, well this is it.

outstanding value
This coat is solid. I can't believe what a good deal it is. If you want a wind breaker buy this you won't regret it.I got the Med Reg. I'm 6 feet 175 perfect fit with room for layer without being tight.

Very well made, just fits long.
I bought this parka for late fall, early winter hunting in Wisconsin. Matches the dead leaves very well. Anyway, as far as sizing it is a little tricky. I'm 6'3", 185lbs. Broad shouldered and built like a spider monkey. I bought a large and had to send it back because it was made for a larger bodied person and the sleeves where far too long. The medium is better for a tall skinny guy like me. The shoulders could be a bit broader but it still fits well and I love the quality overall.
