First the good: Great value for the money, excellent action for landlocked salmon and trout. Handles the very fish well. Using now for early season trolling with micro-lead core line. Haven’t tried with a downrigger as yet but expect they will perform equally well when it comes time for that.Now the not so good: I have bought four of these. Each were delivered separately. The first two were in Gun Smoke and arrived flawlessly in TiCA packaging. Liked them so much I ordered two more but by then stock was scarce. The Raspberry color looked OK, disappointing the actual color does not match the Amazon product photo. Actual color is more between Raspberry cream or maybe pink, not the deeper red as expected. The last one to arrive also came damaged, loose in an Amazon box not the TiCA factory package, rod guides were all bent. Straightened them out best I could and will wait to see if they last.Can’t fault TiCA, their product is excellent. Any issues are all due to Amazon Prime poor handling.

This rod was delivered as advertised within specified shipping date. I had 2 of these rods already so this is the 3rd. All paired up to a Abu Garcia max dlc line counter reels. Quality is great, no bent guides everything is just as it should be. Ill definitely keep buying these Tica kokanne rods. Definitely one great kokanne/trout trolling rod ESPECIALLY for the price.

I own several Kokanee rods but I think this one is my favorite. I love glass rods for downriggers. I like the longer length and the action is just about perfect for 12-15" Kokanee. The price is definitely right. It has a ton of guides and loads up perfectly. Fished with several $100+ rods and this to me is as good as any. Should hold up fine for years, although I could see where a guide may have to be replaced if you are not careful with them.

I used my new Tica rod for the first time yesterday, to troll for kokanee. I love the sensitive rod tip that lets me see bites right away and imparts a sense of urgency to harder strikes. With this rod and an Okuma Magna Pro reel, I now feel set for many years of fishing on Pacific Northwest waters.

Very nice rod with the soft action for downrigger fishing for kokanee. Appears well made. I'd give 5 stars but the printing on the rod just above the handle could use improvement. Otherwise, this seems to comparable to some of its Lamiglas cousins for about half the investment! Ive paired the rod with the 5500 ABU Ambassadeur S digital linecounter to come up with what I'm hoping will be a great combination that doesn't break the bank. Time will tell.

The action of these is excellent, the problem is with the listing. The 7'6" ultralight rods are spinning rods but I can't find that anywhere in the description until you get it in your cart. I missed it and then when I recieved the rods I didn't use them right away and now I can't return them. If you're looking for trolling rods DO NOT order the 7'6 ultralight.

This is a great rod for Trout and Kokanee. The feel is excellent and the action is ideal for soft mouthed species such as Kokanee. Even though the rod tip is very sensitive the butt section really stood up to larger 20-22 inch rainbows and wouldn't hesitate to use it with smaller salmon like Pink or even Coho. Just a really good high quality rod.

Took the rod out trolling for Kokanee but landed a five pound rainbow trout with itand the rod was more than up to the task. Color looks better in person than in pictures. Build quality looks very good.

It has the old-school super whippy action I remember from old fiberglass rods and offered a lot of fun for someone else fishing in the boat.However, the rod comes with the trigger so needs a spincast reel, not an open faced spinning reel as the description says. Details matter, and this description flaw means I do not get to use the rod I bought.Only 3 stars because of the problem with the rod not being what is advertised.Update. Product returned for a refund and while it was received about 2 weeks ago, still no refund. Not impressed.

Hands down best Kokanee rod I’ve ever owned! I caught 10 pound rainbows on it as well without issue. Great for showing light bites which makes all the difference for me

As expected, a "noodle-like" ultralight rod which is perfect for Kokanee trolling. Still haven't tried it though - waiting for spring. The build quality is good and the "wasabi" color is amazing!

It is a decent rod, but one of the guides detached on the first day of use. Too much of a pain to return so we will have to try and fix it ourselves.

Good rod. Good cast. Slow action good for it's purpose.
