Bargain quality
Good quality and works great with current AC. It's a bargain price as compared to local hardware stores selling at double the price for pick up. Ya know capacitors only come from a few manufacturers and results in many name brands.

Save yourself hundreds you can do this
Its a easy task to do yourself and save yourself hundreds. Capacitors can fail for many reasons , very easy to replace *****Please use extreme caution if you do this yourself, a capacitor MUST BE DISCHARGED..!! FIRST pull your air conditioner breaker outside and or turn off the breaker inside your breaker box Remove your AC access cover ..NOW VERY IMPORTANT check with a multimeter set to read VOLTAGE to make sure there is 0 voltage going to your AC unit THOSE THICK WIRES SHOULD "READ ZERO VOLTS" COMING INTO THE CONTACTOR ..Discharge your capacitor by using a VERY INSULATED screwdriver and jumping all the terminals together...Common, Herm, & Fan.. Make note of where the wires are on the original Capacitor or take some pictures.. IF YOU CANT SEE THE MARKINGS ON THE OLD CAP :MOST CAPS WILL HAVE 4 TERMINALS FOR COMMON, 3 FOR HERM , 1 FOR FAN.. remove wires from old cap one by one and install on your new Capacitor. Put everything back turn your power back on and you should be good to go....

Keep a spare capacitor on hand
Keep a spare capacitor on hand. This $20 item can save you a $400 repair bill and the wait for service if you are at all willing to remove your fuse, open your AC compressor unit and swap out the capacitor.

It was one of the hottest days of the year and my central air was not working. I went immediately on Amazon andI followed the directions and brought this item for my HVAC unit outside. It came the next day! I have been a prime member for years. This item was close to the website description. Easy to install. Now my outdoor unit is running fine! Thanks, Amazon

Great price & it works! Save some cash think ahead.
Buying through a repairman will cost you 3x more atleast. If you have an AC / SPA, best open compressor housing/ SPA morot cap cover and note values. Most have 2 for AC & just one for spa, a 5 mfd for starting the fan motor and a 40, 50 or 60 etc. for the compressor. Having a spare in the garage can save hundreds of dollars and keep the wife happy if you swap it out and get ac up and running fast. Always kill power from breaker then short common to each of the other leads before touching or removing wires. Very Important!!! Note which color wires go to HERM etc. on the cap, before removal. You don't want to put them on the wrong side! When compressor fan stops working turn off ac immediately to prevent burning out the fan motor or compressor. If you know what to listen for, you can hear the fan running when ac starts up, if it isn't running the cap is probably bad. Alternatively if it is running and ait is hot could be compressor side of cap. I have replaced my AC cap 3x in the last 17 years and my contactor once, but after 20 years the AC is still humming. I used this cap as a temp meaure for my spa pump until the 40mfd caps came in (delayed availability). Worked great and installed the correct one when it arrived 2 weeks later. Did not need the 5 mfd side for spa pump. Now have a spare 40+5.

Great value for the money, easy installation if you take precaution
Other than it taking three days to get here when I had it overnighted for a one-day delivery, not having air condition in Florida and it now working you won't hear no complaints from me on the delayed shipping. It is a very simple and easy task to do yourself and save yourself hundreds from calling an air condition repair tech. Start run capacitors are usually the first to fail on your the outside condenser unit and what the little know how is as easy as unplugging or wires and plugging for wires back in. *****Please use extreme caution if you do this yourself, a capacitor has the potential to store up over 8000 volts and 300 amps and will kill you if you touch it***** if you take this test on yourself, pull your air conditioner breaker outside and turn off the fuse panel inside breaker box for your air conditioner. if you have a voltmeter which is highly recommended, double check to make sure there is zero voltage going to your unit. Discharge your capacitor by using a screwdriver and jumping the terminals together. Once the capacitor is discharged you can handle it safely. Keep in mind that a capacitor stored idly with nothing hooked to it will actually induce voltage on its own so handle the new one with care and make sure that you discharged the new one as well when you go to install it.
