I was planning to use this the same way as those large bed-pads they use in the hospital, since those large pads also work well to grab (alone or with a helper) to reposition mom if she slides down too far in the bed. But this really tucks in to cover the whole bed and stay secure under the mattress. I now wonder if it would be best to put her bottom sheet _over_ this and use a regular bed sheet (folded in half) as her bed-pad for repositioning. I guess I mean: this could be the waterproof mattress cover, instead of the pull sheet, bed-pad I was imagining its use as. It launders easily and dries well on the line, since I am trying not to waste resources by using the drier.
