Cessna 172S/SP G1000 Standard size CheckMate
B**E
Check it against your official Cessna checklist, some functions unclear or out of order.
The card is very convenient; one card, with flying checklist on one side and emergency checklist on the other. All details are not present. For instance, you could go through the checklist and not have the plane start if someone left the fuel shutoff valve off. That's not a serious problem as you obviously won't take off until you fix it.Unfortunately there are a couple of errors that I've noticed that could cause problems. In start, it is not clear that instructions vary depending on if engine is warm or cold. Assuming they are written for cold, if the engine is cold it should have you put throttle full open and mixture full rich before running fuel pump, and after put throttle back to 1/4 inch (It does specify mixture back to lean). It doesn't specify procedures if the engine is flooded (though that is rare).Once you are ready to take off it's convenient as you can put away your big checklist and refer to it for normal operations from then on.
