moisturizes and plumps my skin
I've been using this for a few weeks now. I know the box says "visibly reduces wrinkles within 30 minutes", but you know it doesn't really actually get rid of the wrinkles permanently. If you look at the ingredients there are silicones, so I wonder if it is the silicones filling in the lines, which of course then makes your wrinkles look like they magically disappeared. I honestly never really believe any skin care to do that or believe that it would dramatically reduce wrinkles, so I always take it with a grain of salt. I mostly use skincare as a preventative, and not a reversal - but of course I'm lucky to have started a bit younger when there isn't too much damage or aging yet.It does moisturize my face, a little goes a long way. I did notice my skin more plump after use. I try to avoid silicones in my skincare products best I can but it isn't a deal breaker. I do have to admit in the excitement of wanting to try this product I forgot to check the ingredients list. I think this serum does its job of moisturizing and helping wrinkles be less visible. If you have more sensitive skin, make sure to look at the list because it does also have added fragrances and some other stuff that could hit sensitive skin differently. Luckily I don't have the most sensitive of skin so I didn't experience any irritation.Overall I think at this price point I would expect something high end, but a bit "cleaner" in terms of its ingredients, and something more on the natural side. The ingredients are not bad by any means but there are some on the list that I would prefer not to slather on my face. All in all, it is a decent serum, and does contain some good ingredients like marine collagen (derived from sea urchin) and exopolysaccharide from plankton.

For me, this is all I want in a facial serum.
I have dry older skin with loss of elasticity. This serum seems to be just right for my skin needs. It isn’t sticky or stiff on, more like a silky sheen. Very smoothing. It does have a light floral scent which I love. I use a wide variety of products and this serum plays well with all of them. It supports my moisturizing needs. The only caveat would be if you don’t like the fragrance. I’m super happy with it! A new brand to me but a big hit.

A Filler, Not a Serum; Any Results are via Silicone
Founded in 2014, this beauty line is built around marine collagen and specializes in "active beauty solutions and scientifically formulated ingestible supplements." The supplements part is always a bit of a red flag for me, as so many are just overpriced snake oil and this serum makes some really big claims that also make me uneasy. For example Vida Glow claims this product "visibly reduces wrinkles within 30 minutes." Umm, yeah, red flags all over the place with that boast. And looking at the ingredient list, yep, right near the top (see below), Dimethicone, a.k.a. silicone. Line are visible reduced because they're being filled by liquid plastic. It also explains their "induces softer skin" claim, because you're not actually feeling your skin, just the silicone coating over the top of it.Silicone is often used in makeup primers for just that purpose, to create a preternaturally smooth surface to work on, but when you're using a primer you KNOW that's what you're doing, not pretending it's a lasting treatment effect. And while silicone itself is non-comedogenic, it can cause breakouts simply because it's hard to remove completely, thus sealing dirt and oil in pores. Definitely needs a double washing to completely remove, which also removes its "benefits." It also commonly causes pilling of the product on your skin, which is gross and uncomfortable. Silicone isn't fixing any skincare problem, it's just spackling over them, and while that's fine if you know that's what you're doing for a temporary makeup fix, it's super misleading in a very expensive treatment serum.Full ingredient list from the Vida Glow website: Aqua (water), glycerin, propanediol, dimethicone, butylene glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, hydrolyzed collagen, saccharide isomerate, ascorbyl glucoside, alteromonas ferment extract, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, arginine, lecithin, pentylene glycol, polyacrylamide, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, c13-14 isoparaffin, sodium acrylates copolymer, cetearyl dimethicone crosspolymer, laureth-7, tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, citric acid, pantolactone, caramel, parfum (fragrance), phenethyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin, chlorphenesin, sodium benzoate.

Using on my combo/sensitive skin
Unfortunately something about it bothers my sensitive areas a bit. Not anything too drastic but enough that it's not one I'll use as much or return to purchase. The other downside is that I don't notice too much difference in the look of my fine lines after 30 minutes as it says. Though, it does give the rest of my skin's complexion a bit of a boost of the radiant, healthy shine that's ideal (but also some extra redness in my sensitive areas. I think if it had worked better for me now to where I could use it long-term, maybe there would also be more results

Big box for a small bottle… the stuff feels nice on my skin, though!
As a consumer, I’d pick a lower price point over a fancy box every time! And so it goes with this serum.A very sturdy, well made presentation box with the bottle laying in a custom form inside. Very nice. Also unnecessary.[NOTE - PET PEEVE ALERT]The directions on applying this serum are on the box & NOT on the bottle. Major pet peeve of mine. Why in the world would I save a 6”x4” box for the 1 oz. bottle inside? I wouldn’t.The product itself feels very nice when applied… it spreads easily, absorbs fairly quickly, & doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. My super dry, very sensitive, sun damaged aging skin soaks it right up & the result feels quite soft. There’s a slight, pleasant scent that just smells clean to me - it dissipates quickly.I’ve used it for close to a week every night & I do wake up with skin that feels rather smooth & nice.HOWEVER — that 30 minute claim is a bit much. I mean, it took me 60 years to abuse my skin so it’s gonna take a lot more than 1/2 hour to fix it!If the price were lower, I would consider regular use & the price could be lower with less packaging, both the box & the bottle. I realize this is a premium beauty product, but at $82, it’s out of reach for many.**Thank you for reading this review & I hope that it’s Helpful!** 😊
