very detailed dictionary, if not the best one of the best. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a good dictionary.

It really like this dictionary, it is so complete. I'll recommend it to everyone who understand urdu and english.

I bought the same dictionary in 2012, but my friend took it. So, I decided to purchase it again, but this time I bought one that was published in Pakistan, with the price printed in Pakistani rupees. If I am paying Rs. 2,200 or the equivalent, then I can accept it, even with poor binding and loose pages. However, if they are charging $75.00, then I need the same quality as the one I had before.As a result, I returned the book and received a full refund, so I have no complaints. If someone doesn't mind the poor binding and loose pages and is willing to pay $75, they can keep it. Content-wise, the dictionary is excellent, one of the best English-Urdu dictionaries I've come across.

Although this dictionary is very comprehensive... as an english speaker learning urdu this dictionary is nearly impossible to use without consulting a native speaker or some other program/book.For example, house is presented as مکان without any grammatical markings or a phonetic pronunciation of the urdu word. Unless you know how to pronounce this you don't know if it is makaan, mukaan, mikaan. Infuriatingly, they do give the phonetic pronunciation of the English word! The entire dictionary is like this.Maybe this book will be useful in the future, but I don't think I can use it for much of anything as it stands

Great and complicated book

I had two English-Urdu dictionaries but I was feeling the need for a new one which was up to date with modern usage. This dictionary is ideal for use not only by students but also for use by professional translators.I highly recommend this book.

I used this dictionary for a few weeks and found out that it is primarily for native Urdu speakers learning English as a second language. I was looking for a dictionary for native English speakers (like me) who are learning Urdu as a second language. The print quality, page quality and binding are very good but the fonts are quite small and older readers (like me) will need a magnifying glass! I ended up ordering a combined English-Urdu and Urdu-English dictionary by Abudul Haq from Amazon for my purpose.
