It had all the essence of classic romcom movie. Never got bored and finished the book in one sitting

The Last thing you would want to go in is expecting a regular romance where girl meets girl and there is a happily ever after. There's more to the story. I had high expectations in that department because of reading too much straight romance recently but don't miss out on this book I really liked the character and their arcs .Writing was refreshing to read and mature indeed.

As a 15 year lesbian who just realized her sexuality this book took me into such an amazing world which I thought was never possible. Also being from a country which doesn't accept queer people very much , this was a break from the constant heartbreaking reality I live in. I completed it within 2-3 days . This is an easy read and the main character are very adorable, I feel like the author could have given us more of their relationship after they started dating but it was still very good. And knowing that this is based on the author and their partner gives the book more of a romantic feel . I was screaming and kicking my legs in the air during the whole read.

4.5 ⭐ (rounded)“Some things have to fall apart because they don’t belong together, but some things belong so much they could never break.”Molly is this socially awkward, shy and compulsive organizer who’s one and only friend is her mom. but she has been in love with Cora most of her high-school but haven't spoken to her, not even once. she couldn’t actually. Now that they are both going to the same university she’s determined to come out of her shell and finally ask Cora out. The problem is she doesn’t really know how to. Also, she doesn't really know much about Cora either. She’s rather in love with the image she has created in her mind from observing far.Alex is a headstrong girl with a chaotic life. Her mom is an alcoholic, so she pretty much support herself and her mom. She’s a total flirt and a player. She knows how to get a girl in a few mins but has no idea when it comes to maintaining a relationships. She finds it really hard to open up and commit to her feelings.Being the total opposites that they are, they absolutely dislike each other, when they cross path at a party after getting into the university. After few more encounters, Alex discovers Molly’s crush on Cora. So, she decides to help her get her, hoping that it would show her not-so-permanent ex-girlfriend that Alex is capable of building and maintaining a relationship. Chaos and craziness is waiting to unfold.I loved both Alex and Molly so much. They were so likeable, unique and adorable. I kinda related to some parts of Molly and some parts of Alex. I so wish there were more scenes of them together where they were actually attracted to each-other and falling in love. Their connection was done well, I just wanted a bit more. also i would’ve killed for an epilogue.This book made me feel like I am watching a teenage rom-com movie. The writing was quite atmospheric so I was getting all the feels. I loved reading about the budding friendship in between Alex and Molly. There were some banter and snarky remarks which made it more fun. There were several cultural references and famous celebrity references in the book.I love me some good character development which was the case here. Both Alex and Molly are amazingly good characters. They helped each other to become a better versions of themselves. Resolved their past issues together. Just became more confident than ever. The characters really put in something meaningful to the story.This book was very sweet and feel good but there were instances that made me emotional as well. So, this book was a bit of everything while not being too much in any way. It left me wanting more. I would highly recommend to the people who like sapphic rom-com, enemies-to-lovers with dual POV.Thank you so much to the publisher for sending a copy in exchange for an honest review.
