Can't wait for the summer to try them out

Well the barbecue season is almost upon us. Actually, I’m not too keen, but thankfully my husband insists on barbecuing everything (to within an inch of its life) throughout the summer, so I’m relieved of cooking duties. Yay! These roasting sticks will come in so handy if people prefer to toast their own marshmallows or whatever, especially as they extend, but I’m just looking forward to enjoy a sausage, from the end of the fork, rather than burning my hands with it wrapped in kitchen paper. I’d have preferred not to have the coloured rings around the handles, but I appreciate they make identifying your food easier. That said, I think these extending toasting forks are a great idea and will make the barbecue season just a little more bearable!

The telescopic barbecue forks come with a handy canvas pouch. The forks themselves are very lightweight, almost a little flimsy. But then children are supposed to be able to handle them.The forks can be extended from 12“ (31 cm) to 32“ (82 cm). The handles have color-coded rings. Out of the bag the prongs were not completely parallel, but if you prefer this, you can easily adjust them.Grilling marshmallows will be no problem, but when attempting to pick up something heavier (125 g/0.27 lbs) with a fully extended fork, the rod bends substantially.One of the handles came very slightly damaged, but nothing anybody could hurt themselves with, just a little cosmetic imperfection.

I’ve used these with friends children and my Beaver group. They extend to such a length that even the most nervous child enjoyed toasting their marshmallows. Great buy!

Great items to warm marshmallows over the fire pit and not toast your hands. Good for younger children with supervision so they can enjoy the outdoor. Easy to clean and put away.
