8: A Best Friends to Lovers, Second Chance Romance (Numbers Book 1)

This book is the reason you don’t start books at 9pm at night because you stay up until 4 am to finish reading it. I felt every emotion whilst reading this book. I was angry, I was upset, I even felt my heartbreak once or twice. Most importantly I fell in love with hunter every 10 minutes even if I didn’t want to, I wish I could read it again for the first time. Amazing all round.

Hunter has my ♥️🥺Devoured this best friends to lovers story in a day. Though to call it that feels like an injustice to our two MC’s. They were always so much more than best friends. Their connection was soulmate deep and the way they loved each other made me fall in love with both Hunter and Charlotte.It’s not an easy love, there is tension, angst and heartbreak 💔 separated and then bought back together over the course of 8 years. But believe me when I say your heart is healed by the end of this addictive tale of two characters that were always meant to be ❤️‍🩹This was my first read of Billies and I can say for certain it will not be the last!Did I mention the angst?! If you love friends to lovers and second chances then 8 really hits the mark. The friends to lovers trope is carried out perfectly and really showcases Hunter and Charlotte's feelings towards each other, especially as they start to develope and change throughout.8 spans over a few years, starting in high school through to both characters mid 20s. It's not a quick romance and that creates a great foundation for a trope that can be difficult to write to it's full potential. Hunter and Charlotte can both be hot headed and surprisingly Hunter is the one to calm down the situation when all Charlotte can see is red.Billie really makes Hunter work for his second chance and he really steps up to the mark when he royally messed up a few times.

I really enjoyed this book. At times I found myself wanting to shout at Hunter. I think I would have like a little more explanation about the secondary relationships the characters were in and why they weren’t real but it was still a great read!

Omg, I think I started and finished this book within 24 hours 😂 Safe to say I enjoyed it! I have only read '5' from Billie's numbers collection so this was a new read for me.I adored all the banter from the beginning of this story. I loved the friendship between Hunter and Charlotte, and the chemistry was off the scales. Yes I did want to bang their heads together a few times but I enjoyed the ride!With so much going on over the years, there was a lot to learn. I didn't feel like you could tell that the characters aged over the years, my little criticism. The whole time they literally just fell back into their old roles with no progression. But it was still a very enjoyable read!It pulled on all the heartstrings and had me laughing, crying, and holding my breath to see what would happen next!

'𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚'Wow!! I don't even know how to write how this book made me feel. I knew I was going to love it just from the prologue.Charlotte and Hunter became inseparable in their last year of school. Always claiming to be no more than best friends even though it was obviously something more. Hunter moved to LA to pursue his fighting career, and they still remained friends just.I wanted to knock their heads together so often in this book and shout at them just say how you feel! It was clear that Charlotte and Hunter fell in love at first sight.I don't think I have ever felt so many different emotions in one book. I'm going from so frustrated to happy and then back around again. But even with feeling like that, it pulled at my heart strings more often than not, and I just couldn't stop turning the pages. It is just such a beautiful story that you all need to read if you haven't already!.Hunter is in my heart ❤️ and now I'm in a book hangover.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Loved Hunter and Charlotte. I cried at their push and pull. When it almost seemed like it was not going to happen (no spoilers). This author has a beautiful way with words. She draws you in and you fall in love with her characters.
