New Ridge Home Goods 2214-CHS Wooden Laundry Hamper, Medium, Antique Chestnut

We purchased two of these over two years ago and just yesterday I was thinking how pleased I am with them and I should write a review. When we moved to a one bedroom apartment with a small bathroom that had no room for a hamper, I spent hours and hours looking for a solution. The only space we had available was against a wall toward one edge of our living room. I certainly didn't what to put something that looked like a traditional hamper in such a visible location. These look like regular pieces of furniture and no one would recognize them as hampers. I almost bought something else without casters but my husband pointed out that casters would be good so we chose these. The casters are great and we can just wheel the hamper over next to our washer when ready to do laundry. I do remember that when we put the first one together we didn't follow the instructions closely enough and tightened up the base too much before trying to attach the lid. We were able to backtrack and complete assembly with no problem and did much better assembling the second one. I would recommend these highly. Ours still look as good as the day we bought them. They have been the perfect solution for our needs.

Assembly was not as easy as we expected. Unit arrived with a list of parts but no written assembly instructions. We got the bottom and sides put together only to find we should have gotten the lid on while the sides were still loose. Not a big issue, but written instructions would have been helpful. Once assembled it looks good and seems sturdy. Easy to roll around. Screw-heads are metal and visible, so I'll probably touch them up with some white semigloss paint.

I about died yesterday when I saw they increased this already enormously overpriced, difficult product to have to put together with no instructions. Sorely tested my patience. And if you don't live alone, do not buy this cheap IKEA type product- it's very small. Too small. The only thing I like is that I have a really bad neck and back and I can roll it to the washer and back. Do not buy this product of less than half value of its price !!!

After receiving the product I realized how much it was not what I wanted. The box is not open yet and when requested a return authorization I realized I had to pay the return shipping + a restocking fee. Very disappointed. I need to remember to read more carefully next time and NOT purchase items like this.

The color was not what I expected , but the hamper is very sturdy. I use it as a seat at my vanity table and it is great at this double duty. There were no instructions for assembly, only a parts list , but I figured it out. All parts and tool were supplied.

Bottom arrived cracked in four places. The entire piece of furniture was cheaply made and it was dented all over. Would not recommend. I am hoping to not have to pay for return shipping for a purchase that arrived in such poor condition.

I bought it for my little bathroom that has a cottage style. It’s adorable. I’ve gotten many compliments on it. One person in particular raved about it. He had never seen a hamper like it. I thought it might be a little too small. But if I keep up with my laundry, it’s the perfect size.

Easy to assemble and I love the variations of color in the wood. Flits around easily on the castor wheels and the front wheels have a locking feature. Seems kind of small to me but after looking at numerous hampers online I have to say they all seem to be around the same smallish size. Made in China but seems of great quality. Was pleasantly surprised.
