In any situation back safety is the really important and most people do not realize how easy it is to mess up your back for life with little move. As a student of nursing and with always pulling and picking people up there is always a chance that you may injury yourself to the point of never being able to work again. This back brace is actually a replacement to the one that I used to have before. This back brace is a little more comfortable then the one that i am used to and it offers a lot more support. I like the fact that the back of this back brace is a lot higher so therefor it offers a lot more support. The velcro on this brace is strong so there is not fear of the brace to come undone when you are working or moving a patient. One of the things that I love about this brace is the material that its made out of. The neoprene material is great for you are sweating because it seems to stay nice and cool. Great brace. It offers excellent support for those who suffer back issues. I use it in my martial arts classes and is flexible enough to do sports fairly comfortably. It has small flexible bars in back area. It's a wide belt so expect it to ride up your waist a bit. Also. If you question what size to get then get one one size larger as they run small. I bought a xxl and would normally fit well in xl 40-42" waist . I fit in well in a xxl but could fit in an XL snug I'm sure.

I have severe degenerative disc disease with sciatic nerve pain. I use this belt to assist me when I am sitting for a lengthy period and it helps me maintain a good upright posture. I don't know if it provides any relief from the pain, but it does give me a sense of more stability. The belt is comfortable to wear and is easy to put on and comfortable adjust. I recommend it for it comfort and adjust-ability.

Read the description carefully; this is NOT a stretchy brace. Only the back criss-cross supports are stretchy so that you can adjust the amount of support. Also, I think that the brace runs a little small. Mine fits but if I was at the larger end of the sizing, it would be a tight fit. It took me a little while to determine which way on the brace was up- look at the criss-cross straps to figure it out. I also found it very uncomfortable to wear under clothing. This is really more of a support belt than a brace but it is better than nothing and does somewhat help.

I like this so much I bought one for a friend who needed it. I love the extra adjustments on the side and I've had mine for a year and it has held up great. Highly recommend

I ordered this and it was right on time, but I ordered it TOO large going on customer reviews on this one and other brands. The reason for the 3 stars is because I wanted to exchange it but it will cost a little under half to return it for a smaller product. I'd still get a little over half back, but the cost to return it is kind of high in my opinion. Anyway, it might be fine if it fit.

The support brace does not run large. I went by the product reviews and ordered an XXL and it was way too large for my husband. I think it's a good product and would like to try another one in the future. If you aren't unsatisfied with your purchase just contact the seller they are very helpful.

I really enjoyed getting this back support! I'd tossed out my back BADLY and needed the support to help me "survive the day." The product is well made and the sizing was accurate. I liked it better with a thin tank-t-shirt under it so that it didn't rub against my skin.
