This took a while to ship, but it was worth it given the price and the fact that this model is harder to find. I love it.Because it’s transparent, it is less ostentatious than some other models, so I find myself taking it with me a lot.

Full disclosure, I did not buy my 205 from Amazon, because they were not the lowest price. I sent mine back because it’s a very small in size, cheap feeling plastic, horrible scratchy steel nibbed pen. The $20 pilot metropolitan blows it away, pad does any of the cheap $10 Chinese fountain pens. I have an old Pelikan that I love. But they are taking it to the bank with this pen which feels and writes like it cost $3 to make. Other than that, how was the play Mrs Lincoln?

Good quality materials, smooth and relatively wet writing with little nib's feedback, and comfort to write with.

今までM800のFニブを持っていたのですが、今回は日常で使うためにM205のEFニブを購入しました。ペリカン2本目です。M800と比較するのは適当ではないと思いますが、比較するとやはりM800ほど重厚感はありません。軽い感じです。しかしヌラヌラとした書き味はやはりペリカンです。インクフローが素晴らしく、出すぎるくらいです。最初パイロット色彩雫の竹炭を入れて書いてみたのですが、EFニブにもかかわらずM800のFニブと同じくらいの太さでした。合わないのかなと思い、ペリカン4001ブラックに入れかえてみたら、こちらの方があっているように感じます。中の構造がよくわかり、また手軽にペリカンの書き味を味わえるお気に入りの1本です。

筆記はこれからですが、タンク内に水滴がついていました。

カチッとした組み付けと、インク切れの起きにくいペン先の良さなど、流石はペリカンです。インク残量が見えるのはとても便利。コンパクトな筐体で持ち歩きにも便利です。

インクフローは潤沢で、心地好く書けるのだが、連続で文字を書いている中で、極稀に書き始めが数ミリ程掠れることがあるのがストレス。しばらく置いていての書き始めなら分かるが、連続で書いていて急に発生するので困る。ニブは思ったよりも柔らかい。個人的にはここまで柔らかくない方が好みではある。でも、書き心地は良い。キャップをきちんと締めているつもりでも、たまに自然に外れている時があり、胸ポケットに入れている場合、引き抜こうとするとキャップだけ取って、本体はポケット内に残っていると言う状況が発生する。勿論、ポケット内ではインクでシミができる。こうならない様にしたいが、樹脂製の本体なので、力一杯キャップのネジを締め付けるのは躊躇われる。
