what is the rotation?

I use mine on a 40 plus year oldJD 2040 tractor, 520 rpm in I believe a clockwise rotation.

I pretty much knew a pressure control valve with a return to the tank was needed but I where do I find one to buy?

TeeJet 23120-3/4-PP Pressure Relief Valve polypropylene- or even a valve with a tee back to the tank would work. You would also need a tank fitting if your tank doesn't have a fitting for the return.

Is a pressure control valve with a return to the tank needed when spraying is intermitant?

My system has a pressure control valve. At a minimum I will recommend a relief valve to avoid bursting the hose or connections. This is a powerful pump.
