Aconcagua Valley Coffee - Colombia Medium Roast Whole Bean Coffee - 35.2 Oz

I have looked for a better priced whole bean coffee for quite some time now. I think I have found it. Aconcagua Valley Coffee has some of the best tasting coffee for the money. I will keep buying their coffee till they prove me wrong. I give them a 2 thumbs up rating 👍👍

This is a flavorful coffee with some teeth, but it is really more of a medium roast than a dark. It makes a smooth, bold, flavorful cup. It is an excellent value for the size and falls a bit below what I'd consider high end coffee. I really like it, but don't love it. To be fair, I use it for regular drip coffee, not espresso, where it may shine more brightly. I appreciate 3 three dates (MFG, BBF, and EXP). Mine expires 01/03/2024, but is considered best before 12/31/2022.The bag has a press zipper seal as well as a gas vent. Mine had a slight tear on one side, but I don't think it effected the quality of the coffee. Panther Strong Roast is a product of Columbia but is roasted and exported in Chile.~ Kort

This review is for the Colombia Medium Roast Beans Specialty Coffee From Aconcagua Valley. It makes a good cup of basic medium roast coffee, with a nice aroma and fresh taste. I normally prefer a dark roast, but do like a good medium roast. This one is squarely in the medium roast spectrum. There is nothing really exciting about the coffee’s taste since there were no significant tasting notes that really stood out to me, unlike other coffees I have tried. It was good, especially for morning coffee, but it tasted like just basic coffee with nothing really that special or memorable about it.

The coffee was manufactured on 01/03/2022. The BBF date was 12/31/2022. The coffee was delivered on 01/12/2023, beyond the BBF date. Unfortunately, this product cannot be returned.

I got the Colombia Dark Espresso Beans Specialty Coffee 84 Pts SCA In Colombia Bean From Aconcagua Valley Coffee 35,2 Oz | Fair Trade SPP | Bean Coffee | Espresso Coffee | Whole Bean Espresso Coffee Beans. These beans come in a nice bag with a zipper closure. The bag has manufacture, best by, and expiration dates. It has information on medium roast vs. dark roast Colombian beans. It also has instructions on the amount of coffee to use for various brewing methods (such as one-shot espresso vs drip coffee). It is very nice packaging.The coffee beans themselves had an uneven roast. Many were dark as a dark roast should be, but there were also a number of lighter beans in the mix. I found that this tasted more like a medium roast to me. I like a darker roast than this for espresso. The taste is inoffensive, but not really my thing.

This is the coffee you brew up on those mornings when you didn't get much sleep and your tail is dragging cuz you stayed up reading or studying or went out despite having to go to work the next day or maybe someone was sick and you were up and down with them. It's an Arabico and Robusta bean blend with higher caffeine content and it WILL wake you up.TASTING NOTES: Bitter chocolate; Flavor: Intense Bitter; Aroma: Cocoa; Acidity: Low acidity; Medium high body. After taste: Clean and lingering. I'm not sure what this means. It tastes like espresso to me - strong and a little bitter. But I add a couple teaspoons of allulose and some half and half or some coffee creamer and I'm ready to face the day. Seriously, y'all. They compare this coffee to an energy drink. 'Nuff said, lol. 4.5 stars
