Pretties in Pink: A Romantic Suspense Novel (Blackwood Security) Paperback – February 7, 2022

I have totally fallen in love with this series. Emmy and her crazy collaboration of misfits that just fit.Not a series you can jump into from the middle, gotta start at the beginning, or be lost.Love to see how Hallie has progressed into a strong woman after all she's been through. Ford is her perfect fit. Love to see this story move forward into something bigger.

It’s been a while since I’ve cracked the spine on a Elise Noble story, and I wasn’t disappointed. It was simply brilliant. I’d forgotten how the dialogue and character antics make me laugh and how much I love being in there world. Awesome, as always!

I'm so glad Elise has added another amazing book to the Blackwood Security series. This book will grab you and not let go until you've finished it. It's very well written with great characters and believable dialog. The plot is fast paced with an unexpected twist. Although you can read this book as a stand-alone story, it's much better if you meet most of the characters in "Quicksilver" first. Once you've become addicted to Blackwood Security, you'll want to go back and start with "Pitch Black" . Sometimes, with book series, things can get stale and predictable, but not with any of Elise's series. They start off great and keep getting better and better. I HIGHLY recommend this book. Enjoy!

Although this book gives just enough background to be a stand alone, any reader would be missing out if they didn't read the whole series. This book allows us to see the future results and trama of sex trafficking while showing the strength of survival and the power of friendship. Our Blackwood friends are involved and Bradley of course brings the crazy yet fun element. Hallie and Ford are dynamic characters. I love Elise's development of characters from former books. And the new characters, well...welcome to the dark side.

If you've read the series up to now, you'll love how much healing the main character has done. Even if you haven't, you'll still appreciate it. Just like all of the Blackwood books, there are twists & turns that take you by surprise, but at the end, it wraps up into a neat, happy package. And the Blackwood family just keeps getting bigger & bigger.Do yourself a favor & read this one. And everything else by Elise Noble, too. You won't regret it.

This book caught me off guard a few times with the twists it took. This has all the intensity that I have grown to look forward to in the Blackwood series and most of Elise's other books. The romance was wonderfully done. Hallie and Ford had an instant connection. He was perfectly patient as she fought to overcome her past. All around I highly recommend this book.

Another great book, I love learning more about each of the characters and getting to know the whole Blackwood family. The twists and turns of Pretties in Pink were enjoyable and came to a (mostly) happy conclusion. There are still some endings left to read about, and I can’t wait until they’re available for consumption!!

I love Elise Noble books they capture you from page one and this one is no different. I love Hallie’s story and the way she takes chances even though she is broken. Can’t wait for the next book.

This was such a great read. Loved how we got to see what happened to the girls saved from the brothels. Everything tied in with Emmy in the background, what a bonus to have the whole group in the book!

No plot spoilersThere are a couple of potential triggers relating to kidnap, attempted rape and child sexual abuse.That potential trigger warning should have been clearly provided in the blurb.I am getting really annoyed by the sheer volume of authors who don't provide a potential trigger warning before readers purchase their books.By the time the reader gets to the end of a book it's too late to request a refund, and most people wouldn't make a fuss about it, so in a way readers are being manipulated and that's a pretty low marketing technique.Anyway, onto the review.The characterisation is absolutely spot on, I loved Ford, and have wanted Hallie to get her own story since Cora's book.The plotline is engaging, the usual fast pace and cracking dialogue creating a page turner.There are a couple of light sex scenes and plenty of swearing (adored the parrot!)I expect Pinchy's story to unfold at some point!Can't wait for James' story either.I have no problem recommending the series but would advise reading from the beginning to obtain the best reading experience and get to know the characters properly.There is romance, fun, lighthearted teasing as well as care for each other in a series that often plunges into the dark side of humanity.The Blackwood family ensure successive books are an automatic purchase for me.

This is another one of Elise Noble's gems. The story is about Hallie who we have met in a previous book of the series. She is investigating the abduction of some girls together with Ford, a local detective. They follow different leads and are assisted by some members of the Blackwood team. And as usual not everyone is who they seem to be.The book is an easy read, funny as usual and with the necessary twists and turns and involves some of the people we already know (Emmie, Dan, Bradley...). Definitely worth reading.

I really enjoyed this book. Although its a standalone story with no cliff hangers the other characters from Blackwood are in the book. They are all well developed characters and I enjoy having them in this story.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a mystery crime theme with strong characters. Most of them are strong characters with a few who have their ghosts and are growing into their personalities.I've enjoyed everybok in this series.Cheryl
