There are no instructions. can anyone tell me how to set the timer?

Our decorative lantern timer is automatic, without setting, as long as it is turned on for 6 hours, it will automatically close for 18 hours and light up at the same time the next day. The flame lantern is very convenient to use. It only needs to install 3*AAA battery. It is a good choice to decorate the dining table or Halloween. I hope my answer can help you.

Does it light up like a burning flame?

No, the luminous way of 3D flame lantern is realized by the flickering of the LED wick, the shape is like a star, and it is three-dimensional, which is more vivid than the traditional flame lantern. Decorating festivals and tables with it brings a more intense vibe.

is this real glass or acrylic?

Yes, Moroccan lanterns are made of real glass with a total of 6 glass panes. Glass lanterns are great as table centerpieces.

What type of battery is included? When it runs out, can this battery type be purchased in a store or does the lantern need to be replaced?

Our mini decorative lanterns use 3*LR44 (AG13) button cell batteries, the cute lantern decorations can be lit for a long time, when your battery runs out, you can buy this type of battery on top of Amazon and replace it, hanging lanterns can be used for a long time.
