Traditionally return jets have 3 holes (golf ball), spraying water with much less force than these single jet options.These devices only have a single hole, causing the water to be sprayed(forced) at 3 times the force.Both systems have pros and cons. The 3 jet system spreads the water force over a wider area, but the force is much weaker than the single jet system.Having installed the single jet system in half of my pool, I prefer it! It has several advantages, the biggest being it creates more agility in the pool which helps with mixing the water and reduces the need for brushing.

I saw some people having trouble getting that inner part out of the pool, so they could replace the entire thing. I only needed the eyes and the rings, and the ring fit the original Hayward fitting just fine. I do wish I’d gotten larger eye opening, because this 1/2” really has a lot of pressure, so my water surface is quite turbulent, even with the eye pointed downward.

I did have a few old jets that had broken off inside the threaded pipe, and they were a little hard to remove. I had to get a rag, wedge my hand in, and untwist those pieces that had been made brittle by sunlight.BUT- once I had the old ones out, it was really easy to screw these in.I didn't over-screw them, in part because it's really easy to see the jets working quickly as the 1/2" hole provides a powerful stream.Hopefully this means that years from now when I need to replace them, they'll be easier to unscrew than the last set.

These are great replacements for my jet returns in the pool and, with the smaller openings, move more debris with a stronger concentrated flow.

I bought these to replace my original jets. I found that these are so much better than what i had. I can turn these in more specific directions which i couldn't before.

Ordered these to replace the plastic threaded ring holding the "eyeball" pool water jet. The threaded rings tend to fatigue over time and crack, as I've had to replace the same one twice already over the past 6 years. Purchasing the replacement parts individually was costing too much, and this package of five is so much more economical. Now I have plenty of spares for any future replacements. Great value for the money. Thanks!
