Hornady Powder Trickler - 050100

I already have a couple of these that are great,but this one is a gift.I do put a 1/2” thick piece of Cherry or hard maple under them to hold them up for the correct heigty for the scale.

It trickles powder.

A sloped floor toward the outlet along with a suction cup base would improve usability and stability

Wish I would have known it was plastic

Makes loading precision rifle loads much easier, especially with spherical powders such as Win 748. I wish it were a little heavier in the base, but overall, would recommend especially for "ladder loads."

Well, I bought this because I want to send some loads out to be pressure tested. I thought I would be able to use this to fine tune the powder charge. As it turns out this thing is to short and not long enough to trickle powder onto my scale. For my intended purpose, this thing is useless. Fortunately it was cheap enough to just toss into the trash.

Please note that the more expensive tricklers are enclosed on the bottom so weight can be added, or made of heavy steel . This one is made of cheap plastic and there is no way to add weight. It won't stay where it is on a reloading bench. If you are veeeery careful, it will get the job done. The "trickling" part works well. I wish it were 1/2 inch taller too.

Works well. I use it for my .44 Magnum loads.
