Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade Travel Size (1 1/8 Oz.)

I've been using the Murray's for about a year now. My college roommate introduced me to this stuff but only recently did I find a use for it. The product works really well at keeping my fuzzies in check. I have short, thin hair. It's not thinning hair, I mean the hairs themselves are individually thin. That means that after I take a shower, if I don't do something to my hair, I look a little like I've always got my finger in a light socket.The key to using this is "emulsification." My wife explained this to me. You have to put a little dab on a couple fingers, then rub your hands together really fast until the stuff is a little warm and spread out. Then it sticks to your hairs without clumping up and you get a nice, even pomade distribution. I also find it works best about 5 minutes after I've dried my hair with a towel - the hair's just a little bit damp and, for some reason, the stuff sticks more evenly that way without looking all shiny.I bought the 1-1/8 ounce size (that 1.125 ounces to ye non-carpentry types) because (a) the stuff lasts forever and (b) it fits better in my toiletries travel bag than the big tin.

I'm surprised that I like this stuff so much. RECOMMENDED!To be honest, I bought it because of the size... I use it for travel. However, it turns out that the hold is really good... I may like it better than the stuff I use at home.One thing to be aware of is that it is HARD AS A ROCK in the can. You need to rub it for a bit to heat it up and soften it, then rub it across your fingers to heat it more before putting any in your hair. Seriously, it's like a candle when it's in the can. However, that's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for when I travel, and since it's so hard, you don't need to use much of it, so it lasts a long time.

By far my favorite pomade. I have very thick, wavy hair that is tough to tame. This stuff does the trick, way better than any gel or other pomades can. And this travel size is absolutely perfectly sized - A thin tin with just enough of the good stuff.

I got this hoping it would slick back my pixie hair cut and I was wrong. It is a great product if you are looking for a simple pomade, but prepare to have a greasy hair look. It felt gross to shower it out and I will probably only use it as a last result. I give it three stars because I think it is a good product, but it just did not suit my needs.

Man! It is nice to find a good pomade that isn't priced for hipster yuppies. This pomade smells great and has a solid medium hold. This is a great value!
