Works great. Declumps and levels the output of my Mazzer Mini. Bottomless portafilter and espresso flaver confirm no channelling most all the time-95% or better. I store it in a shot glass; effective, if inelegant.

Nice addition to my espresso bar. I use it every day. I highly recommend it.

I saw that Normcore has at least two versions of the wdt tool and I thought I was buying one with straight pins. That is what is shown in the picture. However I got the version where the pins flair outwards. The thing still works well and is built well, so it gets five stars. I just point out that the picture is not accurate because, for my setup, it would have been easier to store a took with straight pins.

Have only used the WDT a few times, and I do like it. The disappointment comes in the lack of a stand. The tool comes with a little magnetic plate, which might work for some people, and seems strong, but then I have to find a spot for it stick from, and I don't want it to awkwardly to out or up, I would rather have it in a stand so it can be tucked away without worry of damaging the wires.

I am just getting into espresso machines, and gear and coffee etc. I decided to spend the extra money and go all in on normcore coffee accessories and they do not disappoint! All their products are incredibly high quality and they hooked me from the beginning.

I have a Breville Barista Touch and used the included portafilter. Dialed in my shots over time with good quality coffee and filtered water. Decided to get a bottomless portafilter and this Normcore WDT. After about 8 shots I was able to dial in and get way better shots. My grind is set at 13, time for grinding is 20 seconds for 20g of coffee. Pull a shot for 31 seconds and I get 38.5-39.2g out. Nice shot, golden crema with no channeling (granted I use a Normcore WDT and Normcore spring loaded tamper). Shots taste better than before even using the same beans. Also used IMS basket and bottomless portafilter which allows me to see how the shot is pulling and its very useful. I never would imagine how important puck prep is, but it is. I would buy again.

This has solved my puck prep problems. I've been learning from Youtube how to use my espresso machine and have been experiencing a lot of frustration. Shots would frequently dump out of the portafilter or jam up and come out in drops. I've played with different grind sizes and different tamping techniques. My shots were always a mystery. This distribution tool has solved my problem! I can now count on pulling consistent shots of espresso. The build quality of this tool is great! The needles are very fine and stiff. The handle has some heft to it and is metal with a magnetized top.
