It may not be like your original because this is the dust and pollen filter.
At first I thought this might be a counterfeit part because it was clearly different from the part it was replacing. As another reviewer mentioned, it was lighter and thinner than the existing cabin filter. When I went to the Mann catalog and typed in the part number, it was listed as being a correct part for my car. However, upon closer inspection of the part number on the original, there is a one letter difference. The OEM BMW part number is CUK 25 001 (note the "K"). This part is CU 25 001 (no "K").The German word for carbon is Kohlenstoff. The K means the filter is impregnated with activated-carbon for odor control. If you don't have any issues with odors in your car, this filter is a cheaper alternative. If you want odor control, you'll need to pay more for the CUK 25 001 filter.

Not at all like original equipment
This is not at all like the original air filter that came with the car. This is extremely light and thin. The original filter is heavy and the paper element is much thicker.
