These have helped solved my dilema
I am extremely flat footed and over-pronate. I recently had my right knee replaced and it was very knock kneed. I want to avoid my knees turning inward again so I have bought every expensive orthontic insert imaginable over the past few months. If they keep my foot lined straight, the support under my arch is so rigid and hard, it feels like walking on a golf ball. If, I use soft cushion inserts, my arch feels ok, but my ankles turn inward, I over pronate which i turn strains my knees. Either one part of my anatomy was comfortable or the other. So, I got Dr. Scholl's pain relief full inserts at Walmart and then bought these gel inserts to place under the arch of the pain relief insoles. My heel is now cushioned, my foot is aligned straight, and the full insert and the gel arch are high enough, but no longer hurt me like the expensive rigid supports. I have tried other gel arch inserts, but they were too high, and the height was all in one spot with a severe drop off. These gel arch supports are high enough, but have a gentle tapering slope and work well under the Dr. Scholl pain relief full inserts. At least that is how my anatomy responds. It gives my arch support, without hurting it and keeps my foot aligned straight. I need both to make it work. The pain relief Dr. Scholls are not thick and take up very little room. But, without the gel arch under it, the pain relief full insert was not supportive enough. Very happy with these gel arch supports. It's true they don't stick that well, but with the full length insert over it, the gel arch inserts have not slipped. I do remove the original shoe inserts that came with the shoe. My six month quest after knee replacement surgery appears to be at an end.

Just what I was looking for
I really like these. I have plantar fasciitis and a high arch that have been giving me pain. I got inserts from my dr, but the arch wasnโt high enough for me. So I wear these in addition to the inserts. I also use it with my flips flops which do have arch support but not enough for me. The only downside is they donโt stick well on fabric, but this has worked to my advantage because I can move them from shoe to shoe. Iโve washed the lint off them which restores the stickiness, and havenโt had a problem after a couple of months. Overall these are just what I need and I just came back to get more (so I donโt have to keep moving them from shoe to shoe). I do think it would be helpful if they came in sizes, like for higher arch)

Great But Do Not Stay In Place
The amount of support and the cushy feel are terrific. My only problem is that they do not adhere well. I have to hold the shoes carefully when putting them on to make sure the supports do not move out of place before I get my feet inside. However, once I have the shoes on, the arch supports really do work well. All in all, it is worth the effort for my feet to feel good.

Glorious!! but didn't stick...
UPDATE: a few days later both are really lifting a lot. I don't trust that they'll stay put during travel, and am afraid that over time being jostled around in my closet will cause them to fall out of place too easily. They're going back... really bummed. These are otherwise really comfortable. On flats they'd probably be no problem. Original impression: Heeled western boots, for me anyway, tend to need arch support but I don't want it to interfere with my heel or toe box at all. Here seems to be a solution! The top is sooth, so socks slide right over it without any friction. They're really, really comfortable and I could live in these boots for days. Pics that I initially took to show placement also expose an adhesion issue. The right one seems to be sticking but left one is lifting, a lot. It's only holding on in the center. Granted, for an adhesive that doesn't leave residue, sticking down to a curved surface is impressive. Good news is if it stays in place anywhere, once the foot's in it seats the whole insert just fine. I will be paying attention to this and hope it holds up for the sake of 1) convenience when dressing and 2) break-in consistency for maintaining an ideal fit. I *might* get a thin leather insole and shoe-glue to that, for the sake of durability without making a permanent modification to the original boot.

buy these for sandles and flip flops
It's hard to believe that something so small can make such a difference like arch supports. I stuck one set on my favorite pair of flip flops and they've stayed adhered for months of use. I wear these flip flops before bed and before getting dressed for the day, rather than stand barefoot on my plantar fasciitis feet. At first, the pressure of these small supports on my arches actually caused nerve pain all the way through my big toe! After getting the foot inflammation under control, the arch supports seem to trigger a pressure massage that has actually improved my level of foot pain. For athletic shoes, I fit the arch supports inside my sock against my skin after the adhesive wore off. The vinyl exterior of the hidden arch supports don't slide around once they make contact with your skin. I like that these are clear, so are not noticeable when worn in open shoes and flip flops. I also like that the hidden arch supports only fill the void under the arch, and don't effect the way my shoes fit under the heel or ball of the foot. Other heel pain cups and shoe supports line the entire shoe and make it too tight.

Stickiness is not the real problem for these
All of the people complaining about whether these stick or not sound a little ridiculous. Did they try to amend it with duct tape on the bottom? Or double sided tape? Probably not. True, the adhesive doesn't work well. But try problem solving before writing a bad review. I give these two stars because they hurt my feet. I agree with another poster who said they feel uncomfortably hard under the arches. I've been having pain on the top of my feet and a physical therapist recommended superfeet insoles for arch support. Those made my problem worse. I didn't want to give up on the idea of additional arch support, so I got these for $5 thinking that I could trim them to fit better if they were too big/wide. Good news: if you're careful, they are trimmable. It won't be perfectly smooth, but they can be trimmed. That helped somewhat, but at the end of the day, they were still too hard. (My foot analysis at a running store said I have slight pronation and arches that are slightly high.) I was trying them under the insoles that came with my Nike tennis shoes. I was able to keep them in place with duct tape since they didn't stick or stay put even under the insoles. But they ultimately didn't work for me. And I would not ever use them in flats because of the hardness. They would feel gross if you used them with bare feet if you have sweaty feet at all. All that said, I'm sure they are helpful for some people, just not for me. I'm going to try a poron sheet cut to the size of my insoles next to see if maybe better shock absorption will help my foot pain.
