I received my package today and it had mold growing on it not sure I can use this very disappointed from now own I’ll be using a clay supply store…

I received this clay and weighed it with box and all, it weiged under 4 pounds. The oddest thing was the color, it's not terracotta at all. It looks purplish like plum. I needed it for a project so I decided to keep it, still not too happy about the difference in weight from the description since it is pricy.

I bought this clay with the idea of using it for primitive pottery. The clay doesn’t coil very well and isn’t very plastic. Even after adding sand temper to the clay, the clay cracks in a pit fire. Maybe I need to do a secondary fire to make sure there’s less thermal shock. I’m sure this clay would do great in an electric kiln although. From what other people have shown, it’s a 10/10 in an electronic kiln but it’s more of a 5/10 with primitive work. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Made a pinch pot with no problem

First off, I'm not a Potter so I'm not speaking from any experience beyond what I learned in high school about baked clays.This clay is wonderfully soft and consistent. To be honest, it's so smooth that it seems like synthetic polymer clay, even though it's natural mineral type clay.
