Cosmo Faces the Forest of Fear (Diamond in the Ruff)

I bought 2 of these as Christmas books last year. One for my daughter's daughter and 1 for my son's daughter. They both loved reading about Cosmo. It's a cute story with lovely pictures and a good message about facing your fears.I heard about them from Cosmo's owner who is a member of a FB page to which I belong. Amulya Veldanda Vadali's books are fun, funny, and delightful. Who doesn't love a story about a courageous, kind, and perservering golden puppy? Vadali visited the school where I work (grades K-2) and the students were in awe. The books are flying off the shelf in the school library. I highly recommend these books for children aged 5-8. My personal favorite is Cosmo Leads in the Land of Fire and Ice, but they are all wonderful. Also look for her other book for children, We Are Important, illustrated using AI, for another take on interesting and imaginative dog advice.

Bought the books for my grandkids. Both of them loved it. The book is well illustrated & a great story for kids to face their fears courageously. The book transports us into the story & felt like I was on the adventure with Cosmo .

My 5 yr old grandson and I loved following Cosmo, a big lovable Golden, as he sets out to save his beloved Sis from the dangers lurking in the scary forest. What a great story about courage! The rhyming text makes the storytelling even more enjoyable. He found the search for the diamond doggie treats a fun extension, and I loved the opportunity to talk about the things that we find scary in our own lives. I have a feeling this will be one of those books requested often for a reread!

This is a fun story about a dog saving his family & growing in courage. For younger children you might need to explain a little about a dog would problem solve different than a human but that's what makes reading such a special experience with your kids & grandkids. Exploring beyond the story. Beautiful photos.

I bought this and the 2nd book for my friends niece and nephew. They love the books and their granddad read them and said that they have a great message. This one about facing fears is excellent he said and he is very picky about what he reads to them.

The story itself was very cute and inventive, following the adventures of a sweet Golden Retriever as he fought off a terrifying enemy and saved his human sister from danger.I loved the storyline and characters, and I also really appreciated the illustrations, which were perfect for the plot.A few things I didn't like: I read it twice and still didn't really understand where the skunk came from at the end. I also thought the rhyming structure was a bit forced at times. Of course, it's a kid's book, so these issues aren't things most readers are going to be focused on! For the purposes of the reader base and the intent of the book to be a heartwarming, sweet story, it absolutely succeeded.

This book was so cute! It was well written with beautiful illustrations. It also had a great theme and teaches kids an important lesson. There’s also an engaging activity at the end of the book. Your young children will surely enjoy this book and fall in love with the cute golden retriever, Cosmo! I’m buying a copy for all of my nieces and nephews!

A wonderful book for a young audience. I have two children, ages 5 and 9 and both loved this book. The adventure, the bravery, the story line and the illustrations kept not only their attention, but their interest as well. The rhyming nature of the book was also something my kids always enjoy. Without spoilers there are some fun activities at the end of the book that both kids were eager to complete and also really enjoyed. I'd highly recommend adding Cosmo Faces the Forest of Fear to your kiddos libraries. Great book and will definitely become a favourite.

A delightful story which is fun for reading to and along with kids - my nephews loved it and want a pet dog of their own now! The story is easy to understand for children and the words are simple for them to read. The illustration is amazing and adds to the narration. Looking forward to reading more of Cosmo's adventures. Hoping we get the physical copy here in India... Would be a great gift for budding readers who are waiting to read their first story books.

The author has created an excellent book for kids. Great lessons, Loved the story and the characters, especially Cosmo. I would highly recommend this children's book to others.
